Hero's Will Quest - Firehuntah - 2009-07-22

Issue/Problem/Bug:
Can get the Mithril Wristband (for the last part of the quest) twice somehow.

Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!:
I was walking around in Leafre when I saw this light bulb above Eurek's head. I accepted his quest, and got the Mithril Wristband. Seems normal so far right?
However, I've already received this wristband two days ago and completed the Hero's Will quest. Now I'm somehow back at the last part of the quest again.

Yes, the actual skill name and description for Hero's Will for Pirates is wrong as well. But as you can see it's Hero's Will in my skillbook, and I received the Mithril Wristband again, making the quest go back to the last part.


On my way to Aqua now to see what what happens when Carta gives me my will back, again. Will update soon.

Edit:
Was able to finish the quest again, and got the item Firm Hand. But as expected, when I tried using it, it said I couldn't use the skillbook.

Edit #2:
Went to El Nath to see Eurek again, and it didn't show the light bulb. But then I dropped the item Firm Hand, and the quest was available to me again. Seems like if you drop it, you can do it again. This makes sense, but it doesn't make sense that it becomes available when you actually use the item Firm Hand as well.

This is only happening on my Corsair, not on my Shadower. So most likely caused by the wrong Skill Name for Hero's Will for Pirates. If any other Corsair or Buccaneer can see if they get this quest again as well after obtaining Hero's Will, we could confim this. :p

Oh, I got "Speed Infusion" several months ago and I thought the repeatable wristband was just a glitch that happened for everyone. Yeah, it's most likely because of a retarded skill ID issue. It probably assumes you lost the wristband when you exchange it for the Firm Hand.

Btw, it's not really Speed Infusion.
I put 1 SP on it, for the kicks.

I just dropped the extra Firm Hand, and left Eurek alone.
Corsairs get it as Speed Infusion, which is obviously a mistake.
Buccaneers get Pirate's Rage, which is probably the correct name, and what Corsairs were supposed to get too.

So this only an issue for Corsairs? Or can Buccaneers get the mithril wristband again as well?

If it's just Corsairs, then it's definately caused by the Skill Name or Skill ID. Then again, if the Skill ID would be wrong, it'd actually work as Speed Infusion and not Hero's Will I think. So it's probably checking for the Skill Name. And obviously the name Pirate's Rage isn't there, and no Firm Hand item in inventory, so it would give you the quest again to regain it.

Should be an easy fix for Nexon if they ever care about these minor bugs. f3

I think I remember Buccaneers can get the Firm Hand repeatedly too. But their skill's name is as it should be. "Pirate's Rage"

And it really doesn't work as Speed Infusion. I tried it, it's regular Hero's Will with the same cooldown time.

My favorite part about this bug is that Corsair's 'Speed Infusion' requires level 20 knuckler booster Tongue. But I also have this issue, exactly as you have described it. I wonder if a corsair put 5 points into it if they could use an SI 20 book. Probably not, but wouldn't that be funny/just like Nexon?
