Whaa. I got that as Today's Mission, delivered them to Agent W, and lost my melons. Now, that quest is frigging stuck in progress, or do I have to deliver those melons to Agent E?

I assume you bought them?
What you have to do is actually do the jq. Once you break the reactor and pick up the melon, you get the lightbulb.
