I've heard that the Cygnus update will give an extra slot to people but I was wondering what happens if you bought an extra slot from the cash shop prior to this? I'm thinking of buying an extra slot right now but I was wondering if Nexon would follow up and give me another free slot?

No, it just uses an empty slot, regardless if you bought extra slots.

Does that mean character slots can expand to 12 total? 3 base + 3 from cash shop, + 6 cygnus?
Or are you only able to have 6 characters in total?

You only get the slot if you haven't already expanded your character slots.
We don't currently have the power to get a total of 12 character slots.

But in the Cygnus Patch, they upgraded to 12 slots.

KMS didn't add the ability to get 12 character slots until after KoC was released.

No they did it in the same patch. I read the KMS patch notes. They raised it to 15 with the Aran patch.

Yah but usually they just copy KMS, so I'm hoping they expand. IF they don't...I'll be mad. That's 6900 NX wasted.
