Generally a LOT of people (usually Chinese) that get paid to monitor and/or play comptuer running hacks that loot the gold to sell (which is where they get profit). It's like farming, except for e-Gold/mesos.
Typically in a room with hundreds of computers with a handful of employees monitoring them.

uh, I don't think I can. Meso sellers sell massive amounts of mesos for real US dollars, and a bot is a hacking program, and well, it pretty much is self exploratory.
