No More Target NX Cards? - y0y0y0y0shi0 - 2009-06-13 Just found this in my email.... ![]() It appears as if Target is pulling out of the Nexon business. I wonder why. :f6: No More Target NX Cards? - IllegallySane - 2009-06-13 I dunno, lol. ![]() Maybe they had a time based contract and nothing more. Could Be. Kind of strange though that this happens right around the time the new GMs finally get to work. (They either came into power on the 8th, or are coming into power today (13th), can't remember which.) No More Target NX Cards? - ItzTaylor - 2009-06-13 Awesome, all the locations are a peach to get to, and probably don't have them even though they are supposed to where I live! I love you Nexon! ![]() Target was so close and convenient....
No More Target NX Cards? - DeanNim - 2009-06-13 lol. Im in singapore and 7-11 is nearly everywhere. No More Target NX Cards? - motomage - 2009-06-13 thats going to hurt nexon, they already have been winding them down at best buy... rite aid has a ton of locations but it looks like their going for bankruptcy or a huge reduction in stores soon, blockbuster is on its deathbed and may not even make it till 2010, 7-11 dosent have a very good footprint in the u.s. unless you live pretty near a major city toys'r'us is like 500 stores now? usually out of the way for most people. the best one they have is CVS and their just starting to build up out here on the west coast T___T it makes me think nexon tried to rearrange the deal with target because they've gone huge into prepaid game cards... every target ive been to out here in so cal carries pre paid cards for over 20 services... its odd they would be discontinue one (and probably one of the more popular ones) and keep selling game cards from a ton of other services. No More Target NX Cards? - Dusk - 2009-06-13 CVS ftw. No More Target NX Cards? - SethElite - 2009-06-13 pomegranate. Thats where I always bought mine. No More Target NX Cards? - FrostPreye - 2009-06-13 Rite-Aid is two blocks away, CVS is 10 minutes away, Toys R US/7-11/BlockBuster bout a hour away. Yea so I'm not affected at all. Target was only good for my G-coin cards anyway. No More Target NX Cards? - Livin2Dream - 2009-06-13 Oddly enough I've found NX cards available at my local Wal Mart...as well as several local gas stations other then Speedway and 7-11...not sure why they are pulling NX cards from Target shelves...but I would suggest checking your local Wal Mart's electronics dept....

I was always under the impression that NX cards were one of the top-selling prepaid cards at Target, maybe Nexon was trying to bargain with them to get the iTCG back on their shelves. Pure speculation on my part, this post is backed up by absolutely no concrete evidence or fact. Huzzah. No More Target NX Cards? - ZakumSlaYers - 2009-06-13 DeanNim Wrote:lol.

No More Target NX Cards? - motomage - 2009-06-13 Throws Wrote:Maybe Nexon is butthurt that Target is no longer carrying the iTCG. something had to happen, on nexons part... i cant see target dumping the product when they carry a ton of cards from much smaller and lesser known game companies. when target first announced the card and it being exclusive they made a somewhat large deal out of them, saying that while the cards themselves returned little for target they added an extra draw for the stores. kids bugging their parents to go to target to get a nexon card, people buying other goods while getting a card, food/etc, which they make more money on. i cant remember for sure or not, but wasn't the best buy npc removed not long ago? i assume the target npc will follow suit... seems kinda odd, since nexon implemented these companies into the game it would seem some type of marketing agreement was reached but has probably passed. maybe they have some type of deal with walmart going forward, it seems odd to lose a major disturbing partner like target and not replace them with something as equally large. although walmart is somewhat notorious for being a peach to get a product into, they usually have a lot of demands and long testing periods/reviews before accepting a product to go nationwide. |
