Savage's Summer Project - Spiral - 2009-06-02
Ive been thinking about doing this for a while now and after discussing things with Loliness, Ive decided to move forward with it. Back in 2007 I created a blog called Riakjis Summer Project. I thought it would be fun to create a character at the start of the summer and see how things progressed. The goal was to make it to 70 before September (or to at least enjoy/continue playing the character until then). Because MNN was quickly growing I stopped and never really pursued it because of lack of funds.
There are a few rough patches I need to get smoothed out before I can start this project. Ive been playing MapleStory since beta and despite playing on and off the past year or two Ive played quite a lot of different characters. I currently play an Ice/Lightning Wizard in Scania, and although I do enjoy it mages never quite kept me interested for long periods of time. I have narrowed things down to three classes that I would consider making: Crossbowman, Fighter, Brawler, and SinDit. Most of you know my personality, so I think its important to somewhat match that up. I enjoy playing an attacking class that can take charge at Zakum and other bosses (which is mainly why Im losing interest in my ice/light mage).
Theres a poll below. Youre free to leave any comments along with it. I have a decent amount of funding, so I should be fine.

I guess if you have a decent amount of funding, you could afford to keep your Brawler dexless. Plus, in my opinion, it's the only class up there that keeps you interested (and levels fairly fast) in the first and second jobs, which the bulk of your summer training will be in.

Make a Brawler, they're REALLY enjoyable to play in 2nd job, they have very original skills.
You'll like Sommersault and Corkscrew Blow a lot!

Crossbowman. They're my favorite class, and my main character. They're good at bosses, CWKPQ, etc. I never really got bored of my MM early on; I got him to 40 in two weeks just as a side character (Way before x2 cards existed, and Monster Carnival PQ, etc). I really enjoy them.
Second choice I would recommend to you would be Brawler. Their skills are flashy, and they are somewhat strong in the beginning. 3rd job gets really tough when you realize you have a lack of single mob attack skills.

LOL CoB. This isn't different. I'm still playing my I/L and Ranger regardless...maybe not as much...but, eh. This is just something new and fun
I have about 90m of funding (all my mesos). Maybe i can sell some crap and get more. But if you put "dex" and "less" next to each other that generally = big bucks.
Brawler and Xbow seem to be the top now (along with my ice/light). I do have a 75 ranger, but making that a main would take a lot of work and quite annoying considering it's on a separate account and all my NX is on another.
Brawler and Xbowman are both classes that I'm not too familiar nor experienced with. Seems interesting...

I can't really comment on Brawlers cause I haven't played one & I don't really know their skills that well, but of the other 3 I would say Crossbowman can do what you want.
So Brawler or Crossbowman :o
Because of the minimum 20 base, dexless brawler is no real struggle. By level 60 you only need +40 from gear, by level 70, +50. Nowadays that's barely a dent in the possibilities. I have +70 on my Hermit atm >_> Total cost maybe 235mil. I believe it's cheaper on a Brawler because your gear can add dex clean (I'm using luk shoes and luk overall, scrolled for dex)

No. This is something different. I had a thread on here with questions I asked you in-game a while back.
The whole point of this is to find a class I can have the most fun with.
