I wonder if anyone will try to leech an Aran? - MasPan - 2009-04-30

And how much fail will result afterwards? I can't imagine such a complex and timing-essential class-system having a small enough learning curve that someone could just leech their way to 4th job and then be at all effective with one. We shall see though...

At first they will leech because they want to be number one on the Rankings, and yes I believe they will be quite screwed, but they can always learn.

*Hoping 2 years of polearm experience will help with this class*

If they leech all the way up to 4th job, when they start playing, it'll be for them like level 10. They'll loose all the fun of this race.

I kinda hope like how you can't world transfer to new worlds, they won't let you leech new jobs in the first few months >_> Or make leeching impossible entirely.

I don't leech my characters because I enjoy training them. I have nothing against people who want to leech, if they're fine with it. So what? Yeah, they're missing out on the "core" aspect of this game and growing with their character, but that's their loss. MS isn't as hard to play as anti-leechers make it out to be. I can adjust to playing any character after a little time messing around with it and learning the ropes, as can many leechers. People who can't simply suck at an easy-to-control game. And if they stop leveling after they're done leeching, again, they suck or simply have no desire to. Not a big deal.

Arans aren't going to be any different. Once you play on the character for a while, it'll be just as easy as any other character in this game. No idea why every time something new comes out people think it's going to be the FRESH, EXCITING and CHALLENGING aspect to MS. This is frickin' Maplestory.

SIMPLE SUMMARY:

Leechers who suck at the game will suck on their Aran.
Leechers who are good at the game will be good on their Aran.

Regular trainers who suck at the game will suck on their Aran.
Regular trainers who are good at the game will be good on their Aran.

It's as simple as that, whether elitist/moral f'aggots can accept it or not.

I think this class will play more like a bucc than anything else.

I think leeching it is fine, like to the point where it's high enough or has enough points in skills so it can train/pq effectively. I did that with my brawler, lvl 41 atm, doing cpq to learn to control it.

Uhh... Maple isn't that complicated, even with the aran class, you realise it'll take an hour tops to learn how to really use it, right?
