Armor Stimulators - Nerdy - 2009-04-25

So I was training on Drum Bunnies, and this dropped.

How long have these been in the game anyways? It seems like a pretty good sign that maker is coming soon.
And sorry if this is a really obvious thing. I hadn't seen any threads about it.

They were hinted at by the forging girls in Ludi for shoes/gloves, but as far as I know weren't released until lately (when everything started dropping stims).

IIRC the two squid types have been dropping those (shoe and gloves) ever since Aqua Road came out.

While a lot more monsters may be dropping them now, it's no doubt due to the copy/paste of KMS' drop tables, and their existence has nothing to do at all with Maker coming out - which is what I was trying to point out in my post.

The shoe/glove stimulators are used the same as weapon stimulators, when you forge shoes or gloves in the house in Ludi Village. They've been out since Ludi, nothing to do with the maker skill at all.

Oh, I see. I guess that's true, since all the rest of the maker stuff, such as graded ores and monster crystals, aren't translated yet. Too bad. Frown

Overall, Top, Bottom, and Helmet Stimulators will not be out until Maker is out.

We have it in JMS.

Although the ItemMaker section of the Wz is now present (though most of the items it requires are untranslated) as of last patch and may be translated in the next patch or two.

It's definitely a lot closer to being reality than it was in February.

Ive thought about making a post on this as well but sure, stimulators used to drop, however, their drop rate seems to have been upped. I'd used to find maybe 1-2 stimulators a month, but now I find on average 2-3 a day so while the stimulators have always been there, perhaps their rate has been upped? or maybe I just got lucky, lol.

Edit: While this is just the result of the copying of the KMS drop tables...I would say that its a necessary pre-requisite to getting the maker skill... like could we get the maker skill without the KMS drop tables? The stimulators would be hella rare then. Also, how long after monster book/this drop table did they get the maker skill? It might be a good measuring stick to estimate things.
