--------------------------------------------- Anyways this is only an hour of the video, it's an hour and a half long. I'm done watching it for now. Probably the most interesting this about it is the fact that they represent all of this stuff visually. They actually laid 13,056 pints of Milk in a street. It was amazing. Sure, some of may not drink milk, but these are all just base averages of what we go though, granted some of us may use more of something than others. Well, what are you thoughts? The Human Footprint - FelixTM - 2009-04-22 I remember watching that when it aired. I only watched it for the COOL things they did with all the products. Entertainment, comedy value. Otherwise, I honestly don't care. The Human Footprint - JoeTang - 2009-04-22 Americans flaunting their e-ponos. The Human Footprint - Katie - 2009-04-22 We are some fatasses. The Human Footprint - Harrisonized - 2009-04-22 Berzerk Wrote:Well, what are you thoughts?Sure it's interesting, but there's really no point in knowing this. Most of it will be forgotten within 10 minutes of hearing/reading about the statistic. It's just so irrelevant to what we do in our immediate daily lives that it's not something that should be thought about in a serious manner. So I guess you're not one of the hundreds of profoundly impacted people around the world. Good for you! Actually I don't care either xD I already know about the human footprint, and I don't need numbers to know that humans have pretty much touched every corner of the globe. The Human Footprint - Stereo - 2009-04-22 This kinda highlights how insanely wasteful disposable diapers are. If you use washable cloth diapers you could save 1900 pints of oil or 700 lb of plastic >_> By showering once a week, I cut down from 29,000 showers to about 4000, representing about 600,000 gallons of water saved. pwnd The Human Footprint - holyforest - 2009-04-22 Berzerk Wrote:I've started watching this thing on Hulu, and it's actually really interesting. Here's the video for American viewers: I saw this in my honors bio class when we did ecology. We came up with the idea that the only way to counter-act these things would be this: You'd have to be a nudist who only eats once in his/her lifetime then drinks their own and eats thier crap. They'd walk on foot and if it came time for a baby, the baby would wear a diaper made from corn stalks. They'd live in the wilderness with no T.V., computer, or cell phone. They'd never brush thier teeth. The Human Footprint - Berzerk - 2009-04-22 Then don't post. I was looking for positive responses. >_>; The Human Footprint - JoeTang - 2009-04-22 >honors bio >We came up with the idea that the only way to counter-act these things would be this: haha oh wow. The Human Footprint - Colyo - 2009-05-20 That shows how much the "honors" is worth xD College level ftw? The Human Footprint - DrRusty - 2009-05-20 I wonder how much more milk I drink than the average person? My mom buys 3 gallons of milk every week and a half cause I'm a milk whore lol. I drink at least 3 big glasses a day and always start out my day with a bowl of cereal (except on weekends when I eat fried rice and scrambled eggs). I loveeeeeee a cold glass of fresh milk more than anything in the world .

F'uck yeah, that's two less sodas per day that America drinks. The Human Footprint - DrRusty - 2009-05-20 Ben Wrote:Dude...are you my long lost brother or something?
