Regional IP blocks - Cavalier - 2009-04-17 Which regions (e.g.America, Europe, etc) are blocked from doing what (e.g. downloading, registering, playing) on what versions? Regional IP blocks - haha01haha01 - 2009-04-17 i believe everyone who has a different ms for his region (europe, sea, china\japan\korea, etc) cant login inside the game to an account that was created after the ip block (cant remember the date) Regional IP blocks - KajitiSouls - 2009-04-17 Basically, if there exists an MS for a specific region, anyone living outside of that region will be blocked from using that region's MS, and anyone in that region is blocked from the other MS versions. I dunno about exceptions though. I dunno about exceptions though.not true, regions that dont have a version are allowed into gms, since its *originally* global. Regional IP blocks - Zpyke - 2009-04-17 I'm not sure about the exceptions, but I do have a question about them. Is there a way to play other versions of ms with a proxy? For instance, could my friend make a new account and play GMS with a proxy somehow? Have quite a few foreign friends that can no longer join me on ms because of IP blocks. Regional IP blocks - belovedblood - 2009-04-17 Hum. I was wondering about the phillipines. Do they have a localized version Regional IP blocks - lul. - 2009-04-17 belovedblood Wrote:Hum. Regional IP blocks - sicnarf - 2009-04-18 I think most versions have a complete block, while Europe only blocks accounts made after a certain date. I remember when HKMS came out, everybody from Hong Kong was blocked, regardless of account age. Zpyke Wrote:I'm not sure about the exceptions, but I do have a question about them. Use a VPN. Regional IP blocks - IcyGreenTea - 2009-04-19 xBTAx Wrote:But don't you need a SSN to make an account? There are Korean SSN generators out there for that purpose. Well, at least when I tried to make an account, I used one. But my application didn't go through because I had no idea what the hell was on the error pop up. I have a full 100 slot buddy list filled with mainly korean friends that I speak to in english. there are even a few people who have joined our guild to learn better english, and a few who have improved by leaps and bounds simply from being around us. |
