I know many of us complain that this war has been a joke as far as main characters diying it goes, but I can't help but feel sad about Guy sensei diying. The hell Kishimoto has against team Guy? If he was gonna kill Guy he should have killed Kiba or Shino instead of Neji.
Kind of ironic and cliche that two of the main antagonist are the ones trying to save two of the main characters.

Oh. Kabutos back.
Good! Have him grab a near dead person, use them to revive itachi again (which will be fine, because his eyes would be back to how they were when he died, same as Nagato), get madara in izanami, everything is done with. Either he reforms like kabuto has, or he is trapped in the genjutsu forever.
Also, just to be sure, stab him a few times while he's in the unescapeable genjutsu.

It's because other than team kakashi, they're the only leaf village ninjas worth a damn. No one would give two shits if Kiba/Shino/Ino/Choji/Tenten died. Maybe hinata or shikamaru would get some reaction too, as they've actually developed as characters in the course of the series.

There is a huge difference between Madara and Kabuto for that genjutsu to work. Madara isn't being manipulated and he knows that he is Madara Uchiha. Whereas Kabuto wanted to be Orochimaru or anything that was more powerful than him, so you could say that Madara is a solid rock and Kabuto a jelly in mind status. So, Izanami isn't going to work with Madara.
Now, reviving itachi to use the Tousuka sword, is another different story.

Guy and Lee will try their super saiyan mode and die, only weakening madara while obito helps heal naruto, who pulls some sage chakra out of nowhere and starts owning.
then madara will say "f that shiz," and sasuke will come in like "yo wassup beyotch?" and then sakura will be all like "'ey mate i'll pineapple you pomegranate up wut," and then the series will end.

i hate to bring up the anime, but does anyone notice how incredibly pathetic they make kakashi lately? ive got 2-dot sharangan and i can't predict basic taijutsu? i mean comeon... in the original telling, the sharangan completely compensates for his lack of perpherial vision & anticipates enemy movement while he's moving at lightning-fast speeds. in this filler flash back, he's as bad as chibi sasuke. chunin sasuke's chidori limit is around 3, and we see kakashi using it for every single fight. its supposed to be his finishing move, not his rasangan-punch.
this entire kakashi flashback is greatly insulting to him, as well as the sharangan.

In that situation, anyone smart would ask Guy to hold the tenchnique until they devise a way to make it a sure kill or at the very least most effective, not just throw his life in an attempt to stop Madara based on luck, all the more considering 7 gates coldnt even scratch him.
Unless it was explained that Guy is trying to stop Madara from taking Kakashi's Sharingan eye and going after Obito, then all would make much more snese

Oh, no. I wouldn't mind if Guy didn't open the gates or if someone stopped him (before this chapter). It's Minato's reaction and reasoning that was disappointing.

Well at least now I get why it was called Night Elephant and not Dragon, its not 1 attack but 5 and they look like footsteps. I'd say this is making justice to Guy before his death.
And damn, I have been ignoring all the comments of Minato being turned into fodder/minor character until now, but he literally went to that to prevent Guy from getting hit. I'd expect his body being in shambles after that and only his talking head resting on the ground for whats left of manga.
