Original Dragon Nest Thread - raizoo - 2011-10-28 Once the level cap gets raised to lvl40, the new dungeons drop average gems more often. The lvl40 gear will still use those gems, too. It's why I'm waiting on either upgrading to +9/10 31C or getting lucky and grabbing some pieces of Cerb. I REALLY JUST WANT THE HAT. ;__; DrRusty Wrote:question - are there any good sites I can go to that will show which plates are good for each class? I need to know if I should toss these skill plates or notAren't things a little cheaper just after market resets? I don't mind playing the waiting game. And here it's called heraldry plates somewhere at the top bar. This has some too. Get workin' on it when ye have time, brah. ヾ(^∇^ ![]() Holypie Wrote:IMO HP potions are portable priests without the buffing and relics and stuff. Just heal aura for yourself. It's nice when you want to top off your HP before a nest boss :V.Cheeeeap. If you're soloing, you should have the skills to not need to be healed. Well, unless you have a skill that can heal yourself because then that's okay. (ยด・ω・` ![]() Mibs Wrote:Learned that Ignite and Shatter are the two worst possible skills an Ele can have. Chilling Mist is AMAZING though. Would love to have an SP resetIgnite/Shatter is an amazing skill to finish off mobs with. You should only have lvl 1 of either depending on if you're going fire or ice. Gotta use it in combination with other skills. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Holypie - 2011-10-28 I never use them in dungeons, just difficult nests if no hp stuff drops and I'm dying, but it usually doesn't matter at the boss since if you get hit you're dead. Now that I think about it they're pretty useless since either mobs do too little for them to matter or nest bosses do too much. Also I found a 1.5k gold epic brilliant ring but it had no dark attack. ;_; Original Dragon Nest Thread - Mibs - 2011-10-28 @Raizoo The problem with Shatter/Ignite is that they're incredibly slow, have long cooldowns, work only in specific conditions, and will have their amazing damage outdone by skills with lower cooldowns when I'm higher leveled. It doesn't even work on mobs because the skills are SO slow that I've been interrupted more times than not when using them. I only ever run things on Abyss, so this problem isn't going to go away. Shatter is also useless for bosses because they can't be frozen for more than a few milliseconds, and as an Ele getting close enough to burn something and Ignite it almost often gets me heavily damaged. Not that it matters to most people, but imo they're also ugly skills. Original Dragon Nest Thread - raizoo - 2011-10-29 Shatter works when mobs are chilled too. Also Glacial Freeze. They may not be boss killers, but eles have great mob control. And that's why you have to combo into Ignite/Shatter using your debuffing skills. But if you don't like it, then you don't like it. Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-10-29 I like using it after using hot rod and burning everything in the area. It blows up like 20 monsters \o/. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Mibs - 2011-10-29 Either way I'm stuck with the two skills and it's only my first hour or so with them...so I'll see how much better I get at using them. But so far I do not like them at all >_> Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-10-29 You weren't supposed to get both of them btw. You take the skill that goes with what specialization route you take. Ignite for fire, shatter for ice. You don't get both. Even in the ice route w/ fire skills, you don't get both. Original Dragon Nest Thread - raizoo - 2011-10-29 Stuff like that takes getting used to. Played on my gf's Priest and I hated Detonate, but she loved it. EarthAdept2: KILL CERB WITH HOT ROD AND HOT ROD ALONE. (*◔‿◔ ♡
Original Dragon Nest Thread - Holypie - 2011-10-29 I'm sad that gravity crush is useless on nest bosses. I mean the 6k damage that it does isn't that great but if it could pin cerb for 3 seconds (or interrupt thunder) that would be so awesome. ;_; Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-10-29 Yah it really sucks that big bosses are immune to some of your skills, but that would make them too easy imo. If I could ankle shot a boss then he would be a pushover. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Kaasoljoyyx - 2011-10-29 Holypie Wrote:I'm sad that gravity crush is useless on nest bosses. It makes it a punching bag for like 5 seconds, or however long crush is. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Holypie - 2011-10-29 Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:Gravity crush can pin cerb. It makes it a punching bag for like 5 seconds, or however long crush is. Wait really? I tried it on mino and it didn't work so I assumed it wouldn't work on cerb. I'll try it next time since it won't be too risky since it's blink cancellable. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-10-29 awwwwww yeahhhhh. Stack of mail stamps for 100 gold baby. My bag crunch problems are over and you can still kind of abuse Gerrant in the dragon quest. Just finish the dungeon normally with him on abyss, then forfeit the quest and restart it. They did nerf the crap out of him though. He's not 1 shotting any more. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Mibs - 2011-10-29 EarthAdept2 Wrote:You weren't supposed to get both of them btw. I know, haha, but seeing as I already had 4 to glacial and phoenix before knowing this, I figured it would be a waste to not just go all the way and see what Ignite is like. I'll be sticking with Shatter after I reset. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Abrasive - 2011-10-29 Finally got off my ass and got to 32 =D Now i think i'm going to go make a pure magic swordsman or an acrobat. Not sure which though Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-10-29 Do you guys think it would be better to spread out the use of the ele shields or have them both stacked on for maximum damage reduction? Original Dragon Nest Thread - Holypie - 2011-10-29 Stack them where you know you'll get hit (cerb, large mobs), and don't use them for stuff like easy mini bosses. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Mibs - 2011-10-29 Went afk in a Cerberus run during the actual fight with him (OR HER???) and came back to find a Superb Spirited Plate in my inventory...victory! Tempted to use it, but I'm dead broke and never run out of MP anyways, so I'm going to hunt up 2 more average onyxes, craft, and sell it. Oh, and I can't seem to stop dying on his last HP bar when he starts spamming attacks. The stupid poochums ruin my timing with power blink, and then I'm just screwed. Oh, and still not really liking Ignite/ Shatter. Shatter is better now that I know it works on chilled enemies, but they're still so slow to use and I always get interrupted >_>. Nice to see 10ks though. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-10-29 What skill crests does Cerebus drop anyways? I see Fireball, and one other one which does not appear to have been translated into something that actually makes any sense. M:000...something...something...73 It would be pretty sweet for my Priest if Cerebus drops a crest that does that frontal lightning attack or the triple orb lightning attack. That split homing ice projectile would be pretty nice too, although if that other crest is indeed this, then I'd probably rather get it for my Mystic or SS. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Shippo the Fox - 2011-10-30 Cerberus Crest consists of Fireball and Frontal Lighting. If there is an Ice one, I don't know. |
