Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2015-07-02 Here's hoping Firebird will still be viable for regular rifting in T10. Otherwise sad times will be had. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - JoeTang - 2015-07-02 Dark Link Hoping to get a nice set-up that avoids Serpent Sparker. No time to stop and wait for that Hydra to pick up the slack! Maybe something like this: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#UlQVSO!ZYeh!ZYZZbY Furnace + Devastator + Firebird's sauce Ranslor's Folly + Strongarm Bracers Focus and Restraint + Ring of Royal Grandeur Not really seeing any weapons that can beat Furnace, if I'm not going for Hydra. Maybe Valthek's Rebuke is actually good with Ranslor's? (Doubt it) Use the extra slot from RoRG to top up with a Cindercoat, and Hexing Pants of Mr. Yan, or maybe Pride's Fall to be able to spam more? Otherwise get an immunity amulet to avoid some of the bullshit oneshots, or Unity for solo toughness instead of RoRG Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - JoeTang - 2015-07-03 Lots of good T6 speed runs with Dark Link last night. Found a good upgrade compared to my previous ancient K'mar Tenclip

and a nice ancient Natalya's Embrace

Spent a bunch of time on the PTR afterwards. Painstaking process of fully re-gearing my Monk to Uliana's. It took a ridiculously long amount of time. So many pieces of other sets, including an off-class set before getting my first piece. Managed to complete the whole thing and get some cubed passives to go along with it. It's an interesting set, but I don't think it's competitive with Raiment. My first issue with the set is it's awful with just the 6-piece and unplayable below that. But that's the vast majority of sets. I think at 6-piece alone, it could maybe enter Torment VI, but it really needs a Flow of Eternity to not be excruciatingly slow in terms of flow, Gungdo Gear for the spreading, and Focus and Restraint help with the damage. Otherwise, with SSS on cooldown, you basically do nothing. I was running with a non-ancient FoE and it wasn't too great in TXIII as I was finishing up my caches. I believe it was better than my Sunwuko setup which has an Ancient Torch and basically all the supporting pieces. Without FoE, I think Sunwuko's Exploding Palm setups are superior... When I got my cube up, I put in a Madstone, Flow of Eternity, and switched to an Ancient Azurewrath and a regular Fist of Az'turrasq on the offhand. The damage bump was tremendous. With the Lion's Claw, it could be pretty powerful too, but I think Shenlong Raiment is too far ahead for leaderboarding, not that I'll leaderboard. Another issue with the set is most of the SSS runes are awful, and EP is really dominated by the Cold rune that explodes for 2.23x more damage. I think using the CD rune for SSS to spam it more frequently is the way to go. I currently have ~2.6 seconds downtime not including the invulnerability time spent attacking, and Lion's Claw is speculated to double that time making for fairly easy permanent SSS which they might remove. My other runes have double that cooldown remaining, meaning I SSS half has often with not much benefit. Overall, the set seems to have a really high barrier of entry in terms of gear to be proficient, but each additional supporting piece adds a lot to your damage. It's just going to be very difficult to wait through Season 4 to get a Lion's Claw if you're non-season like me, since that's literally a double damage boost. Some other things from the PTR: Repair costs are very high now. Like 10x previous. I think it costs me 8m to repair all my gear. God knows why they did this, I have 4b, and I speed run with Hoarder. Enchanting costs like 5 Blue 10~15 Yellow now. Key Wardens drop the whole machine now, and all past keys get converted to machines, so don't spend them. Cube's materials are from Bounties. Get ready to do full game clears of bounties. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2015-07-04 Someone made a screenshot list of all of the available cube options for all classes as of this moment on the PTR. Really interesting to see what's available to each class. https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/3c15d2/all_cube_options_for_all_classes_screenshots/ Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - hadriel - 2015-07-04 Wonder how Unity line in the cube would do with self+follower double Unity. Hadriel Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - MuscleWizard - 2015-07-04 hadriel Wrote:Wonder how Unity line in the cube would do with self+follower double Unity. you can't equip a legendary affix in the cube that you're currently wearing, no doubling up on lines. o7 Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2015-07-06 Lot of PTR testing is coming to the conclusion that Aether Walker Wiz is 100% dead if the CC resist change stays as is. It would mean TR build for everything 40-50+. Kinda disappointing really :/ Archon is a fun build, but is far from competitive compared to TR. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ginji - 2015-07-06 There is no cow level....right?
Spoiler
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2015-07-06 Ginji Wrote:There is no cow level....right? Not the actual "cow level", but a Cow Rift. The actual one was from this year's anniversary. The rift one has been in the game since RoS release, but it's a stupid low chance to get. Nice job getting lucky with it, though. It gives an insane amount of EXP. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - JoeTang - 2015-07-06 I had another cow rift earlier this week. The second one I've ever gotten. They're re-adding Not A Cow Level though. You can craft the portal using a Bovine Bardiche and materials in Kanai's Cube, just like you can get Greed Realm with Puzzle Ring, so save up on those if you want to give it a try. Gonna be stockpiling any Puzzle Rings for this. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2015-07-07 Dammit I forgot about the Puzzle ring interaction with the cube. I ended up salvaging a couple from our T6 speedruns

I ended up salvaging a couple from our T6 speedruns We can just run again! Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ginji - 2015-07-09 Finally found a usable Mara's, and it rolled pretty decent for my WW barb. All lines are useful, even the secondary. I was going to wait for the cube to roll a decent one, but not anymore!
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Endgame - 2015-07-09 I'm still trying to decide what double immunities I should go for. I have all the amulets except the Fire one and can reroll them at will after I get the cube. (And hopefully T10 rains legendaries and Blood Shards to make getting a Star faster.) But I'm still not sure which combination would lead to more Rift Guardians turning into high HP punching bags. Granted, Arcane/Lightning would definitely be a godsend against the elites. But they're not the ones who take forever to kill and cannot be skipped. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - MuscleWizard - 2015-07-15 Decided to play with kanai's cube on the PTR... oh lordy. Kanai Cube has Starmetal Kukri, and Carnevil, as well as a ring of royal grandeur. Wearing: Zuni 6 set Tall man's Finger Dagger of Darts Tasker and Theo Mask of Jeram Jeram multiplies the darts from the Carnevil's damage. Taskers makes them attack faster while I'm not spamming the overpowered as pineapple darts from hell / dodging SMK lets me spam big bad voodoo Dagger of Darts lets them pierce But Zuni 6 set makes it crazier, because the "mana spender" I'm using, is zombie piranhas, which spawns basically a turret that attacks everything near it, which marks them with the zuni 6 set +275% damage bonus. Which makes the crits from the darts go from 6m to like. 50m. This is /fun/. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - JoeTang - 2015-07-16 Yeah, I'm looking forward to giving my WD some more attention in 2.3. I recently got my Z6 together and a Carnevil, and it's doing okay, but it'll take quite the effort to get an ancient Dagger of Darts... Gonna cube a MoJ so I can have the 100% guaranteed and just gamble another Carnevil because mine has pomegranate 4.5% crit chance. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - MuscleWizard - 2015-07-16 Currently prepping for 2.3 on my WD, farming for a ramalamadingdong's gift to shove in my AL Dagger of darts, and steadily ranking my simplicity's strength. Mojo and Pants already enchanted to 15% poison darts damage, debating doing belt, since the line I had to reroll on that one would be intelligence currently at 8000 int. 436 int would be lost, in order to gain 14-15% increased poison dart damage. Wondering if it's worth it, but on the other hand, that 436 is less than 5% of my total intelligence overall. Edit: Rolled. 15% PD on my Mojo, 14% on pants, 14% on belt. When I get strength to 25, that'll be 37% damage. 80% poison darts bonus damage, not too shabby. And since that's going to apply to all my fetish army pets... 15+8 = 23 +1 for me = 24 darts per volley. 24*1.8 = equivalent of 43.2 darts per volley without this bonus damage. Me gusta. Edit 2: I changed my legendary gem setup to Enforcer + Simplicity's Strength + Gogok of Swiftness. I am currently firing so many darts that are piercing through so many enemies so fast that it's actually causing my game to lag. 10/10 And yes, this is, indeed, on live. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - JoeTang - 2015-07-21 http://www.diablofans.com/news/48471-diablo-2-3-ptr-patch-1-datamined-info Underwhelming as pineapple patch for being three weeks in to a two month PTR (if they want to stay on schedule that is). They didn't really address any issues with Demon Hunters. i.e. Why the pineapple did they do all those changes to Spike Trap? They're so bad. Let's make every rune we've changed literally weaker than the unruned effect. None of the new effects re-arm, so the old version with its shitty 2 second rearm still did more damage because it wasn't hard to make it explode twice. Now, there's a freeze and stun in a world where everything will just resist it anyways. At least the cold rune gives +20% damage. I swear to god, if they make a legendary that gives re-arms, or enables scatter... I'd like a Scatter legendary actually, but it still means the skill is pretty pomegranate on its own. Scatter would fix everything, make that baseline :3 Where's the Multishot diversity? Arsenal is like 2x better than Full Broadside, which is like 1.3x better than every other rune. Where's the support for M6? Shadow's Set? Only change for Wizard's was Vyr's 4-piece being useful, and lol 100% more shield on Unstable Anomaly. RIP Firebird's. RIP Channeling. Did they change the speed of Falling Sword for Crusaders? Where's Justice in Seeker of the Light? Monks only got a nerf to Shenlong's, and no change to the terribleness that is incomplete Uliana's (2-piece is really worthless in the grand scheme of things), or new pieces for Sunwuko's, guess this will be the Christmas patch... Witch Doctors got buffs to their new sets, but Arachyr's is a Firebat build and I honestly think Firebat is pretty awful. Helltooth seems like it'll be more interesting now that it can actually work. Might give it a spin on PTR. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2015-07-21 JoeTang Wrote:Only change for Wizard's was Vyr's 4-piece being useful, and lol 100% more shield on Unstable Anomaly. RIP Firebird's. RIP Channeling. They're literally killing everything that's not Del'Rasha (Which is now arguably the best setup) basically. It's really frustrating to say the least. Vyr's really fun, but let's face it. It's nowhere near the power of Del'Rasha / pure Tal'Rasha. If anything it'd be the T10 farming set. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - MuscleWizard - 2015-07-22 Arachyr's set is pretty silly now that it applies an 800% bonus to locust swarm. Running Arachyr + Quetzalcoatl with wormwood and a hwoj wrap in the kanai slot is pretty damn silly, especially when there's that 100% chance to spread locusts rune equipped in the rune slot on the skill That slow synergizes pretty great with parties running bane of the trapped. |
