Good God, though. That is GORGEOUS. *-*

Aqua5 (The water planet) is the obvious choice. Or the ice planet from starfox assault, Fichina. I don't know why fortuna would be blue, it's a tropical planet.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Niernen - 2014-07-22

Never got why the Starfox stage didn't do a barrel roll and the Metroid prime one did.

It's partially blue, hence why I didn't say it was a possibility. Tongue And by 'that,' I meant Corneria, so that's my bad being unclear.

I'm glad that they salvaged Corneria.

I always wondered why the background objects on that stage were so low poly.

Until now of course. Everything about that picture is delicious graphical eye candy.

It actually doesn't even look like it has that stupid part by the back engine to stand on anymore which makes the stage infinitely better.

All known mechanics and potential ATs for Smash 4, by NINTENthusiast

Really great read if you're into competitive Smash. I'm curious to see for myself what this new game will handle like!

EDIT: Drastic Fox changes? I hope Falco's not changed much as a result. New Bowser and Greninja are gonna be my go-tos for this one. Pit looks good too.

Sakurai Wrote:Pic of the day. In general, there are completely different stages in the 3DS and Wii U version, but we made Wily Castle and the special boxing ring available for both versions! We didn't forget the Yellow Devil either. There may be some small differences in the stages, such as the 3DS stage appearing to be during daylight hours.

Sweet, that's awesome!

I was kinda hoping that megaman's and little mac's stages were different between the 3DS and Wii U honestly, but oh well. :|

Anyone else wishing they had forgotten the yellow devil?

I'm glad the boxing ring is on the 3DS version though. It's probably my most favorite new stage.

Isn't there an option to turn on and off the stage elements like the devil?

No. I seriously f'ucking wish though.

Hold on, didn't they originally say only battlefield (and final destination?) were going to be shared between the two games?

Lozmaster Wrote:Hold on, didn't they originally say only battlefield (and final destination?) were going to be shared between the two games?

Did they even say that?

They said the stages were going to be different, but i don't think they said anything about there being shared stages at all. We all just assumed (or hoped, whichever you prefer) there was, since battlefield at least is a series staple.

Now I think I remmeber, IIRC the "For Glory" mode has only "final destination" versions of every stage, thats what they said in one of their very first SSB directs. Am I wrong or they changed that¿

You're not wrong but that isn't the same nor does it really matter. Brawl isn't exactly the most flourishing online community and the only other thing that can compare is netplay which has it's own share of problems. The problem with for glory is that competitively, final destination is not considered a balanced stage. People will play each other by sharing friend codes on smash sites like they did with brawl so that they can play online using custom rules and any stage which includes ones with hazards which you still can't turn off. People will still play for glory, it just won't be the go-to for "the smash community".

Sakurai Wrote:Pic of the day. This is the Tomodachi Life stage that's exclusive to the 3DS version! The front walls of the apartments disappear so you can see the area within when a fighter overlaps with the room. The rooms are randomly placed and selected from among several types. Planting an X Bomb behind a wall might be an effective tactic.

Sakurai Wrote:You might run into a Mii living in the room! The Mii characters are taken from the data in your 3DS system, so you could find your friends living in the apartments.
