Who cares about Aatrox, release already the info on the Ultimate Skin :X

The LoL Patches thread - Corn - 2013-06-11

...he reminds me of Irelia.

Gonna be terribly hard to balance.

The LoL Patches thread - Olsi - 2013-06-11

Yes Aatrox! He looks awesome!

Irelia is hard to balance because she deals all three types of damage, presenting the problem of which kind of defense do you use. Armor? MR? HP? Her changes have mostly fixed this, but it still can be tricky. Corki has this same problem as well. Both of Aatrox's non-ultimate actives neither proc on-hit effects nor do they have short cooldowns. The only part I can see tricky to balance would be, possibly, his lane sustain.

...not to mention she wins trades even though she's lower in HP than her opponent.

JUST LIKE AATROX.

I thought they learned.

Increased healing on the third strike won't automatically win you a trade. Healing on every strike while dealing true damage is a different story.

+ that passive.

Quote:Here is IronStylus sharing this thoughts on the female monster archetype, including his opinion on "girls in costume" types.

"So.. we talkin' Anivia 'n such as well? There's a few things in the works that would qualify here. I myself am very much for pushing the boundaries in what we'd consider monstrous females. In my opinion we probably could have gone crazier with Zyra and Elise especially. We've milked the "girl in a costume" thing pretty dry and we need to look towards character design rather than costume design.
We'll certainly still have women in costume, but I'd personally like us to push past the human barrier if we're going to do monster/creature females.

One of the reasons that I'd love us to not be relegated to humanoids for such female creatures is that characters like Zyra and Elise can be problematic when making skins. There's not a ton of features or large distinguishing parts of their bodies that can serve as landmarks for change. If we're unable to make some distinct silhouette or fairly massive internal detail breakups, the changes in the skin don't end up feeling as impactful.

So yeah. There's some stuff in the works. I think it fits the bill, but it'll probably be a while for the pipeline to spit it all out."

As a follow up to a summoner who broke the situation down as: "Focus too much on the girl part, and it we get more Zyras, just a hot chick dressed up funny. Focus more on the monster part, we get Anivia, where the only "Female" indication we have is the voice. Might as well made it male for all the difference it makes.".

IronStylus agreed:
"Good breakdown of the challenge at hand."
I completely agree with this. While I like the designs of Zyra/Elise/Nami they aren't exactly clever designs. They are simply fit women in revealing themed costumes. I find it ridiculous that they have to overload female champions with sex appeal.

Like for example, why does the scales that cover Nami's ENTIRE body split open to reveal breasts? there is literally no point and it makes me cringe every time I see it.

Glad to see people here talking about Aatrox the way I feel about him. He looked so OP in that video highlighting his abilities. @_@ I still want to try him, though.

I'm still trying to figure out why Nami even has them.

I agree that we totally need one of those.

I honestly think there should be a Scythe Girl Riven skin. The animation of broken wings would look pretty cool with a big scythe, and her ultimate would still be a big wind slash. it would work really well.

As an example:

The LoL Patches thread - Dredragon - 2013-06-12

If we get a scythe girl, she has to have a scythe whirlwind spin attack, kinda like draven's q, but with some other way of attacking. Maybe it shoots a gale of wind or something while spinning. I would also love a fast step in type slash, that has an aoe cone for the slash.

Oh and she has to twirl it around her a lot. A lotttttttt

Well she is a mermaid so she is allowed to have breasts.

Riot also mentioned in the past that their engine doesn't really allow for females to be "flat." Look at Tristana. Besides the fact that her model is really antiquated model, you can't even tell she's a girl. Same with Poppy.

The LoL Patches thread - Razmos - 2013-06-13

Well, Udyr definitely has a new skin.

Whether it's ultimate or not, i'm looking forward to seeing it.

His base stats are terrible to compensate for his abilities.

Yeah, but everyone who has figured out how to use him so far, that I've gone against, has completely raped our entire team single handedly. @_@

I'd say that's more because melee carries aren't really played anymore so a lot of people have forgotten how to play against or (in your case) probably never learned.

The LoL Patches thread - Corn - 2013-06-14

Ghost-Bride Morgana available for 975 RP.

Very tempting.
