Ask a Pirate Thread - Link - 2010-01-15 Are you that logicially inept? Take your total DEX and write it down. Then take your total weapon attack and write it down. Take that number for your DEX and divide that by the number you wrote down for your weapon attack. The result will be the number of DEX required to make up for one weapon attack. Is it seriously that hard? Ask a Pirate Thread - KaidaTan - 2010-01-15 hyperhopper Wrote:so if i have 120 dex and 1 wpn attack, all of the 120 dex is only doing as much as 1 wpn attack?Yes, this is right. The amount of dex to weapon attack is constantly changing depending on how much of each you have, so (dex/att) is a good approximation. The true formula is a bit more complex than that, but I'm sure you'd have no idea what to do with it. Ask a Pirate Thread - Kitteh - 2010-01-15 He's...he's new. THIS HELPS! i just didnt know that the ratio was constantly changing, i thought it was standard so it confused me. whats the true formula, im good with math ShiKage Wrote:Are you that logicially inept? this doesnt do much besides insult me Ask a Pirate Thread - KaidaTan - 2010-01-15 Dex:attack = [1.8*(1+0.9*mastery)*dex + str]/[1.8*(1+0.9*mastery)*atk] Ask a Pirate Thread - Takebacker - 2010-01-15 hyperhopper Wrote:im good with math I lol'd. hyperhopper Wrote:this doesnt do much besides insult me You mean besides the part where he told you exactly what to do so you understand. Ask a Pirate Thread - hyperhopper - 2010-01-15 all you ahd to do is say "dex/wpn atk = dex equal to 1 wpn atk" Ask a Pirate Thread - KaidaTan - 2010-01-15 Takebacker Wrote:I lol'd.So did I
Ask a Pirate Thread - hyperhopper - 2010-01-15 then how can i be getting straight As in calculus i know what "/" means, i just didnt know why you were telling me to divide my ddex by my wep atk Ask a Pirate Thread - Takebacker - 2010-01-15 hyperhopper Wrote:all you ahd to do is say Which answers your question perfectly. LOL. Ask a Pirate Thread - Bribery - 2010-01-15 hyperhopper Wrote:THIS HELPS! i just didnt know that the ratio was constantly changing, i thought it was standard so it confused me. They both told you the exact same thing. Ask a Pirate Thread - Stereo - 2010-01-15 hyperhopper Wrote:i just didnt know why you were telling me to divide my ddex by my wep atk That would be because you asked how many dex per weapon atk, chief. Ask a question, get an answer. Ask a Pirate Thread - Worthyness - 2010-01-16 my reverse equinox turned out to be a 84/3 str knuckle. I personally don't like it too much. If i successfully 60% all of it (7 slots) it's not even 100 attack. Would it be worth keeping/using (it's better than my current knuckle if all my 100%s [the 60% version] work) otherwise I'll try selling it clean and take my losses and try to make a new one. Ask a Pirate Thread - Takebacker - 2010-01-16 94 isn't that good. Did you stim it or no? Stim your next one and sell the 84. Not even worth scrolling until 86+ imo. Ask a Pirate Thread - Worthyness - 2010-01-16 lol the black crystal came and bit me in the ass... P/C on it? I spent relatively little on it, so anything would probably be profit. My guess is 350 mil +? Ask a Pirate Thread - hyperhopper - 2010-01-20 as a slinger, when should i cap off my STR? Ask a Pirate Thread - Spideyjvc - 2010-01-20 Before I dump all of my saved cannon points into torp, are there any good training areas anyone has in mind for a torp first build? I was thinking maybe somewhere in ToT, but I've only made it up to the ice portion of that so far. The mobs don't really form around me so much that I'd be constantly getting hit, so I shouldn't have too much trouble keeping my boat alive. Someone suggested Skeles, but I believe it's way too early for me to head there since I'm only 130 and have about 4.1k HP. I was told I'd do okay there with max torp, since I'd be freezing them and torping anyway. The only problem I'd have would be the fact that Ice Splitter doesn't reach as far as torp (yet) so I may end up hitting a skele too far to freeze. At a higher level that may not be a problem since I'd be able to tank more hits, but at 130 my boat would probably like 4 hits or so before breaking, so that'd suck. In any case, I haven't dumped my points yet, but if anyone can give me a training area where I can fully use torp, then I'll get started on torp and try it out. I just don't know how I'd feel about maxing torp and then just staying at Newties. It'd be faster than bust fire training, but I'm a bit hesitant to put points into torp just to stay at the same area. Ask a Pirate Thread - KaidaTan - 2010-01-20 Skelegons is probably your best bet. The hitting monsters that aren't frozen thing isn't usually an issue since those monsters are too far away to hit you anyway. If you're really worried about boat durability (I would be -- bump damage abounds there), try dumping 9 of those points into your ship. 36000 extra HP is nothing to scoff at. 4100 HP is fine for Skeles. And yeah, you probably will suck when your boat breaks, but that's just something you'll have to deal with as a Corsair for at least 20 more levels. Thanks, I'll check it in a few and see how it goes. Doesn't seem as if Nexon will fix it soon, but knowing my luck watch it get fixed next week or something. Oh well, don't think I'll regret it too much if that was the case. Ask a Pirate Thread - KaidaTan - 2010-01-20 Hopefully it'll be soon. You'll definitely want max ship if you're going to jump into Torp mobbing though. Beams aren't usually an issue (they're easy to dodge or dismount for), but skeles spawn on you all the freaking time. Try not to stand in the middle of whatever platform you're put on. And also remember that max Torp is better single-target damage than Burst Fire. lol |
