[RED] Archer Skill Builds - White - 2011-05-29 I'll be cutting straight from U.Inferno and maxing Will. Last couple points i'll but in U.Inferno since i'll have them. Skill stats per level. EDIT: Is the damage boost from FA to AFA larger than the boost from Spirit Link? Trying to decide which skillbook i'll choose since i'm assuming I just get one. While U.Inf isn't bad, I think there are other skills that are better at my level. FrothyFrog Wrote:does any1 know if the DoT for inferno stacks? Not with itself and not with venom. That's for right now. Post-Chaos and Post-Jump! idk. [RED] Archer Skill Builds - FrothyFrog - 2011-05-31 White Wrote:Saw the vid. What skills do you plan on maxing then, and in what order and im probably going to do a couple of different builds since a have a few BMs so i have room to mess up on the first few xD [RED] Archer Skill Builds - White - 2011-05-31 FrothyFrog Wrote:What skills do you plan on maxing then, and in what order and im probably going to do a couple of different builds since a have a few BMs so i have room to mess up on the first few xD Well, i'm 185 right now. So I have 198 points. In what order, well i'm borrowing from JoeTang's calcs on this one. This is also sorta a repost of what I said near the bottom of this page. Only addressing 4th job BM's. 120: 1 hurricane, 1 spirit link (I was debating if it was worth this 1 point, but you'll be training w/ phoenix out and you get 11% hp so it's worth it), 1 AFA. 121: 1 e.puppet, 1 expert, 1 AFA. (I really don't believe in U.Inf much at all, and think that point may be regretted later) 122-131: Max AFA, 2 hurricane. 132-140: Max hurricane. 141-150: Max spirit link (best boost, more damage than SE and you get 40% hp, some def, and 15% elemental resistance, all passive w/ phoenix out. 151-160: Max SE. Now, it does give less damage than Expert, this is true. However, when it's maxed you will be at the level of going on czak's as a possible attacker (very few people will take a level 14x or 15x on a czak as an attacker, especially not without SE), and HT opens up as well. If you're going to HT, you'll want SE, as will your party. You don't want to get passed up on an HT run for someone that has SE. 161-170: Max Expert. Good damage booster and stabilizer. It's crazy how such a good skill is relegated to so far down list. Congratulations! You now have all the crucial skills. But we're not done yet. The remaining skills are all still quite valuable. However, I see them as having different benefits depending on how you like to train. So i'm going to make a list according to if you prefer to train by bossing, or by grinding. NOTE: At the time of this writing, %boss potential does not work in party play zones, if it does in a future patch, use bossing list. Bossing: 171-174: Max Marksmanship. 1 Hero's Will (breaks seduce and pot lock, has saved my life many times). 1 E.Puppet (it's ability to tank damage makes it invaluable for us low hp characters. 175-179: Max E.Puppet. 2 spare SP. Here's another branch. If you are well funded and thus soloing bosses like HT and Toad and even Czak, you will get a greater bonus from MW. If you aren't very funded, then go with Illusion Step. 180-188: Max IS or MW29. 189-198: MW29 or IS, whichever you didn't do before. 199-200: Max Hero's Will. U.Inferno to 3. In my build, I never get Ultimate Inferno, I feel it's a waste of 10 sp. Need large mobs which is just not the way BM's train. We train on small groups or single mobs. Our 1v1 dpm is so good that we can typically finish off the first mob pretty quickly and move on to the next. Grinding: 171-175: Max E.Puppet. 1 Marksmanship. 176-178: Max Marksmanship. Since you are grinding, and the best exp is clearly and obviously at party play zones, you can count on someone else to have a high level of MW, so invest your SP in IS. 179-188: Max IS. 189-198 MW29. 1 Hero's Will. 199-200: Max Hero's Will. U.Inferno to 3. Even when grinding, I don't see the importance of U.Inferno over other skills. [RED] Archer Skill Builds - FrothyFrog - 2011-05-31 I like it except it seems 1 point in E.Puppet could come in sooner, the one point changes alot for puppet letting it attack and heal, it sucks that E.Puppet and U.Inferno aren't combined as one skill its hard to choose between them also is the dex added from IS applied to our base or the +, i want to know if % equips will add to it [RED] Archer Skill Builds - White - 2011-05-31 The 1 point could come in sooner? It's at level 121, any sooner and it's at...120....and I think the skills at 120 are more valuable. The IS, I believe, is affected by potential, but I don't know. For a necessary rebuff every 66 seconds? Personally, I'd just forget to recast it and forget about it in total. At my level, in the time to recast that i'm doing like 500k+ damage, I don't think i'd make that up in the boost from 11 dex. Even if it does work with potential. [RED] Archer Skill Builds - lil_fudgeeo - 2011-06-07 Guy's I need some advice. This is the build I think I'm going with.
Spoiler
I was just wondering if I would benefit more with an early 3 sp into SE (I don't mind the short timer). I'm currently at 121, so yea I need some opinions. I don't know if range matters, but if it does I will edit it in later if needed. Please and Thank you folks. [RED] Archer Skill Builds - White - 2011-06-07 MMB adds more damage, SE is better in parties. [RED] Archer Skill Builds - sleepyisaac - 2011-06-25 Hi, I'm new here. Can someone please point me to a guide on xbow master (4th job onwards) where I can see what SP to add. Can't seem to find any out there. Thanks a lot. Can't seem to find any out there. Thanks a lot. It's because there's no really clear cut "here's what points you put into what." Because 4th job skill builds are so flexible depending on what you want to do, there's really only guidelines. It's mostly free form and this is true for all classes. [RED] Archer Skill Builds - White - 2011-07-16 Same % chance of activation as for any other attacking skill. [RED] Archer Skill Builds - Locked - 2011-07-18 qlwkejrh Wrote:all attacking skill? No. [RED] Archer Skill Builds - Retalion - 2011-07-18 I have a few ideas with what to do now, but I figured I'd ask anyways. So I'm 174 right now, with all core skills maxed (obviously), at 30 SE, 30 BE, 30 SoA, 30 MW, 30 Conc, 10 Marksmanship, 1 Phoenix, 1 DB. From here on out, the skills left aren't that important (Hamstring, Phoenix, Vengeance), so I was wondering which of the three would be the most useful in the PvP that's coming soon. Phoenix at at level 1 (or 4 for that matter) is outdmg'd by silver hawk, with a lower stun percentage (then again, how much help will 1%/5% stun be?), with its only advantage being multiple targets. How important is that? And would the extra 3 points in it make a difference? The skill that seems the most intriguing to me is Vengeance. At max, the 20% stun seems VERY attractive and useful (It would count per hit, right? Meaning anytime a triple throw hits me, they should be stunned if it averages out properly?), and even at level 3, with 6% stun, seems more useful than the additional 3 points in phoenix. Thoughts? Did anyone test to see how useful this skill is in PvP during Tespia? |
