Technically, free AP and SP resets for all players will result in great long-term gain for Nexon. Changing everything but not offering free resets will probably turn off most players, and Nexon will end up making a loss. If they do offer free resets, players will stay on and probably buy more NX...which will result in more revenue for Nexon. Not to mention that free resets will help fix their reputation a little.

They probably won't provide AP resets. People would pay to fix their precious stats, and the ones who wouldn't would wait.

I think I'm loosing you. What I mean is from what is known now if your under the level of the monster you're attacking the acc penalty is so large that it is virtually impossible to effectively kill higher level mobs for all we know once you hit past the level it's a lot easier to hit monsters

"300, 400, miss, 350" looks prettier than "miss, miss, 650, miss".

By the way, is the penalty really that bad? Or is it like in other games where you'll occasionally miss a monster that's a bit higher level than you and even a bit lower than you?

I'm okay with a system that has my level 120 Shadower missing twice from 3 Savage Blows (2/18) on a level 110 monster.

I'm fine with it too. I mean, that's why they made quite a few attacks hit more times, right? For example, Battleship Cannon now hits 6 times and Assaulter now hits 4 times.

Honestly if dex is still worth 0.8 Acc, and it requires over 1000 acc to hit Blue Turtles, then a dexless warrior and a decently dex-based warrior won't have any significant differnces in hit rate >_>

Is it cause they upped the avoid of the monsters to ~100? Or is there an actual formula change.

The only real change I want is levels gained past the monsters level to reduce accuracy needed.

Besides the point that I like most of the changes or the essence/ideas behind them, it is in their best interest to change things up. Let's face it, older players have for the most part spent as much they can on the game, so attracting newer players keeps their income flowing.

Cant remember quite clearly, but according to alex (kaidatan) and a few others in another thread, they noticed while playing in kmst that you'll miss a % of the time regardless of your accuracy if you are lower level that the monster. The % of automatic misses disappears if you reach the monster's level.

This would only mean that across the board people will have trouble going to higher training grounds. It does not target any dexless classes at all.

However, we would still need to know how the accuracy formula itself works now (if it has been changed, or if it's remained the same but now there's the % chance of automiss if monster level > your level.)

No, they won't do AP or SP resets. In KMST, as a 4th job pirate, I got 26 free sp when the patch came. Those SP are from the skills that they lowered. I had 30 fire burner, 26 cooling effect, and 30 homing. Since the new ones max at 20, I had those extra SP back, so I got 10 into critical (max) and 16 into the dice skill.

And yes, I have 1300+ accuracy because it has a new formula. My total dex is around 850+, and I don't have zhelm.

I'm sure there would have to be some form of compensation once this reaches kms.

Nexon can't expect players to just pay for changing skills that were altered during the balance.

Archmages/Bishops in GMS today normally max their ultimate first for training purposes.
*Gen 30 is an exception but thats due to the d/c situtation*

If nexon were to just introduce the cooldown and say tough luck, I can see alot of the am/bishop
population quitting. Not to mention those who left from the cooldown announcement earlier.
