Seriously. I thought madara would become the jinchu when i read the chapter title but i guess that would be way too OP for a chakra-less corpse to host the 10 tails.

He wouldn't have been a corpse or chakraless anymore. He was trying to force obito to use Rinne Tensei to bring himself (Madara) back to life, so that he could become the jinchurriki.
I guess dead people can't be traitional Jins, which is why obito stuffed the corpses full of chakra rods earlier when he was controlling the other 6 beaasts.

So while we thought that both Obito and Madara were pulling a linked Jutsu, they were actually rushing against each other to get the Juubi for themselves? Or was Madara simply fooled by Obito?.
In any case I don't see a big deal for both of them. They have the same objective, the ethernal mangekyo and trap everyone within it. The only difference would be if Obito plans to revive Madara after he wins or if Madara can fall in the mangekyo while dead.
Anyway, For the alliance this is actually worse than Madara becoming the Jinchiuriky. Madara is far on another level and now is Obito aswell. Twice the problems.

It's ridiculous that Naruto vs obito started around 75 chapters ago and is still going. This has to be a record for stretching out of a fight.

Except that the 1st Hokage said that even without all his clones, Obito is still stronger than him. Also I don't find it that surprising tjis fight is dragging out. All the strongest and most dangerous mother fuckers in Naruto are all here fighting to the death

He can't possibly know that though. No-one in naruto,even sensor type ninjas have ever shown the ability to predict enemy strengths like that, and the 1st has actively shown that he can't do that (Hence him sending a wildly underpowered clone to fight madara which was bitchslapped with no effort from madara)

And now we are right back at the point we were when MAdara was sumoning planets on the army and roundhouse kicking the Kages. I'm almost sure the manga has depleted its plot resources of badass ninja or anything they could use to turn this into an even fight. The only thing left I see is 2 Ninja's fusioning ala dragon Ball. (Minato passing his powers to Naruto is almost a given but that shouldn't be enough).
Now, if some people don't die during this lapse of time I'm gonna call it bullpomegranate.

There were no clones, they dismissed the jutsu right after the red sun barrier was blown up. The scary thing here is the fact that both full powered Hashirama and Tobirama were trashed in a single blow, which by the looks of it wasn't even a serious one. And I'm pretty sure Hashirama is basing his judgement on the fact that Obito broke the myojinmon and the red sun barrier like they were made of paper.

Well he seemed pretty sure of what he said, which was only supported by the fact that Obito then raped him and his brother. Guess we will have to wait and see where this goes though

They said there was more clones. I don't know how many , but they did.
And besides, Rock lee kicked madara in half too, attacks destroying parts of edo tenseis means sweet pineapple and hasn't been a reasonable measure of power since this war started.
