^o^

Man Exorcists are so much more straightforward on what to get. I simply look at all the physical related attacks. Rolleyes

Any opinions on this current planned build?

http://www.aradsociety.com/planner/?class=exorcist#040:uBe9PbuHfuIb0TbwCbwNb0Ub9AbuGbuLn9BdvNfvWhwQb9LhuMbvQiwAgwUcvYdwWbuFb

Crusader related abilities:
1 Slow Heal (can't undo)
5 Strike (obvious reasons)
1 Cure (for dispelling evil status effects)

Monk related abilities:
1 Smasher (utility; can't complain about invincibility frames)
1 Second Uppercut (utility; starting a juggle = yes please)

General abilities:
1 Quick Rebound
1 Backstep
1 Cancel-Backstep
7 Physical Critical Hit

Now to the meat of the build
Exorcist related abilities:
5 Giant Weapon Launcher
1 Cancel - GWL
13 Phoenix Hammer
5 Holy Amulet (for White Tiger)
7 Passion Chakra
1 Lurking Dragon (the few DFSource threads I read said it's good)
1 Cancel - Phoenix Hammer
8 Star in the Sky
6 Crucifix Wind
3 White Tiger (the few DFSource threads I read said it's good)
3 Chaos Hammer
2 Black Tortoise (sounds nice)
1 Cancel - Star in the Sky
1 Spinning Cross (just seeing it used once in a DFO video made me fall in love with it)

Wow... this is fail... it seems that, even if a set gives +x amount of level to a skill, it wont "give" you the skill if you don't have it... i just wasted all my money on the complete rock star set... :<

at least the mastery bonuses are nice...

We could have told you that =/ If having 1 into a skill due to item bonuses actually worked, some of the stuff in the game could be pretty broken.

Zephyr Wrote:Hmm... right there are elemental imbuing potions... is there a dark one?

Yes, they drop very frequently inside Shallow Keep and Spider's Lair from the breakable objects. I get like 2-6 per run (not full clear). Shadow Whisper Potion or something like that.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Zephyr - 2009-11-08

Oh wow wow wow... are you pomegranateting me? i have to grind to 27? no quests whatsoever? oh god this is going to take forever...

I have to do full runs ~30 times of castellan's chamber on normal getting SS rank... oh god

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Fiel - 2009-11-08

that's why you do masters/kings.

Grind at Floating Castle Kings. Much better exp and easier boss too. And you get cube frags.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Mark - 2009-11-08

Lol Masters/Kings. I was perfectly fine grinding on Expert AND I actually saved potions.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Zephyr - 2009-11-08

Well... castellan's chamber isn't exactly a pot burner for me... floating castle is =/

and the numbers i gave were from the last run i did, i bet master/kings would net me more.

I've been curious about this game for a while now, and I think I might actually start to play when I have some free time. I'm debating on the class to choose though, and if I started, it'd be nice if someone could show me how the game works and stuff like that.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Mark - 2009-11-08

"Defeat Isadora 3 times on Masters road or a higher level."

Hahaha, f'uck you too, DFO.

Yes, I think I have my class now. It was between Asura and Exorcist, but I chose Exorcist. Now how does the game work and all that jazz?

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Armydude213 - 2009-11-08

Grats on Exorcist IllegallySane =D. Sorry for the late grats, Spy checking waits for no man =(.

I suggest you check out the DFO site's media article titled "Learn to love the dungeon system" or something like that (earliest article). It will explain a lot about going through dungeons and whatnot. If you do well on your first day, you should be at around lvl 10-12 by the end.

Here's another thing I typed up for someone else.

KajitiSouls Wrote:Yeah, the equipment stuff was pretty overwhelming for me too xD Some NPCs talk about it and stuff, and I got along fine for a bit.

The official website media section has great tutorial material btw.

 General information

 Equipment trends

For the record, I haven't found any Magenta equipment so far.

I believe I forgot to mention that you can fix your equipment via various NPCs, the most convenient being Delilah who shows up after every time you clear a dungeon. Just ask to trade, and you should see the option to fix stuff at the bottom.

Big Grin Thanks, once I get started when I have free time (next week maybe >_>), I'll buddy you for your kindness.

You're better off buddying other people because I hit the current lvl cap (40) and I rarely play DFO anymore. There's also something called a noob-o-meter that, depending on how high it is, can cut the rewards and goodies you get for clearing dungeons or questing. This meter rises if you party someone that's 7 lvls or higher than you. That's not to say you can't do it occasionally, but do be aware of it.

Personally, I would avoid it like the plague.

Looking for people to do the noob dungeons with me!

...I'm only on Mirkwood. :<

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - USMC - 2009-11-08

lol way to take things so serious.

So I was pvp this guy, in the 3rd round, lag came from no where(it were from me since my game frozen after the match), and he accused me of hacking since I were "hitting" him, and refused to believe it's lag. He must be so lucky that he hasn't encountered enough shiits like this to tell it's lag. Tongue
