There are a lot of romance shoujo series that do this. I do feel the drama is a bit forced at times though, but I've seen worse from shoujo. I've seen stuff where one character acts completely out of character just to start drama.
Also, Sawako doesn't have many people close enough to her to use her first name. The fact that Kazehaya used her first name is a big deal for her. He may even be the first guy outside her family to call her regularly by her first name.

Nyan Koi 9: This is the unfortunate side of harems, but obligatory pool episode has good fan service. The kitty from episode 2 is just so cute. The mailwoman doesn't do anything for me, so those scenes were excessive. Chatora is the typical spoiled brat, and they piss me off too but I wonder why Junpei flipped out like that.
10: 42 is passing? And how does she get a 2 if she got 3 checks? This episode reminds me of Cardcaptor Sakura since I just read that the past few days.
Railgun 9: Didn't expect that. Is Saten trying to make herself feel better by having some friends use it with her? Though that makes it worse. I couldn't help but think of this scenario: "Ah, I want to try weed" "Me too" "You know, I can hook you up!" "Wow, awesome." Hope they stop her in time.
Kimi ni Todoke 8: Strangely, I don't feel bad for this girl at all, unlike Kana.
9: This show makes me smile too much. I liked her hair when she made them twintails, but I agree that her hairstyle is fine as it is.

Utawarerumono - Underwater Ray Romano, needn't say anymore.
Hellsing Ultimate - I'll give it a watch.
Katanagatari - After reading up more on it, I'm interested in it. I'll pick it up and see what I think of it.
Aki Sora - Only because I've read the manga once out of boredom. I don't particularly like it, but I may or may not watch this just for the hell of it.
Fate/Stay Night - Because I'm a Typemoon whore.

Hanamaru Kindergarten - Read the manga, it was surprisingly funny in its own way. I'll give it a watch. The character designs also give me Potemayo vibes.
Durarara!! - Creator of Baccano, seems to have an interesting look to it.
Dance in the Vampire Bund - SHAFT, seemed interesting to me before. I read a bit of the manga, so I'll be watching this. Manga starts off more LOLISERVICE, but gradually gets past that.
Hidamari Sketch x ☆ ☆ ☆ - Already saw the previous seasons. Very relaxing slice of life, certainly recommended for anyone into SoL who hasn't seen it yet. Be warned, massive amounts of hngggggggggg. Hidamari is where the whole "nutbladder" meme came from. I've read the manga, and I'm very excited to finally see the 2 new residents (Nazuna and Nori) animated.

She's handcuffed. Kiyama has a gun. The doors open vertically (which means they open pineappleing slow). It'd take a bit of time to try to spring the lock as well as opening the door, especially judging from where the handle is. Not to mention trying to run while hand cuffed is a complete peach. Uiharu wouldn't get very far at all.
You'll also learn next episode why if she had tried to run away everyone would be completely screwed. Can't wait to some awesome Mikoto fightan.
Sasameki Koto 05: Good episode, though the long pauses between scenes is irritating.
Kampfer 10: Bitches and whores etc.
Darker than BLACK Ryuusei no Gemini 09: pineapple. Season three where?! I don't believe they could possibly resolve everything in the next three episodes.
Sora no Otoshimono 10: I expected more GRIMDARK, but those faggots up in Synapse made up enough of that I guess. Nymph <3 I expect to rage significantly in the near future.
To Aru Kagaku no Railgun 09: Gekota face is great. I am a tad disappointed now that I realise what J.C. Staff decided to skip from the earlier episodes, though I do think they spent good time with that filler building some character and plot. I don't think it would have made as much sense if they didn't do the EYEBROWS story, but the fact they cut Touma out of that diner scene, pineappleING RAAAAAAAAGE etc. The Reaction Faces in the manga are priceless. Can't wait til Sisters Arc, to a) see 9982, b) Mikoto in action and c) how J.C. Staff will probably screw up the story.
Also, I actually had a bit of a nose bleed watching this episode for unrelated reasons. Or were they...?
