I like that they seem to be putting more effort into the alternate costumes this time.

I do too, since the only character that got an alternate costume in Brawl was Wario.

Soo, which one are we expecting, shulk, chorus kids or chrom? Or someone else to discredit the leak. hmmmmm

Although we already have 2 FE characters, a spear user would be pretty goddamn nifty

Like Ephraim? I wish, but I feel like that's incredibly unlikely. Same with Hector.

If they add another FE character my guess is that it'll be Chrom or Robin/whatever you call the player character from Awakening. They could have different skins for male/female like Wii Fit Trainer does. That'd be neat.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Zerard - 2014-07-11

I want Chrom so badly. He's without a doubt my favorite FE main protagonist.

Sakurai pls ;-;

Bye bye, Meta Knight.

My rule of thumb is it's not worth buying if the value of games you want to buy right now don't exceed the cost of the console.

But if you don't already own a Wii U, the amount of good games available that you MUST get for the console sums up over the 300$ you'd be paying for it.

Considering that you can customize characters attacks, I wouldn't be surprised if they added Chrom and gave him a choice between a Falchion based moveset or Spear based. Same goes for any character with random weapons they get from their respective games. Imagine Mario and Luigi getting to use their hammers superstar saga style, or Fox getting to use Krystal's staff, OR even (highly doubtful) Samus customizing what beams to use for the match.

Alas, one can dream

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Lozmaster - 2014-07-11

Weren't custom movesets offline only?

Since most of my gametime will be online, I'm not that interested in it, unfortunately.

But now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if Lucas was cut and Ness given his specials as custom options.

Yeah they are, which i think is kinda lame because it would make matches with more than 1 of the same character more interesting than having 2 clones Sad

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Thugnificent - 2014-07-11

You're right, the custom movesets are for offline play only.

I mean sure you may not be able to play with the custom move sets online, but when people get together for a tournament/party they can then bring their custom character(unless its banned, which I can forsee being the case), and hopefully not just through amiibo.

Now that you mention it though, I can totally see, with the added attention to the alternate costumes, that Ness would indeed essentially be Lucas. Perhaps they'll just have a choice of the "Ness Moveset" or the "Lucas Moveset/costume" at the character select screen.

Wait what? You should still be able to use them when playing with friends online.

I think that was implying playing with friends in the same room. Note the sentence right before that.

Which seems silly if that's the case. Sad

EDIT: WAIT I misread that. Friends vs Anyone. DUH...
