Original Dragon Nest Thread - PervyLion - 2011-10-16 raizoo Wrote:Oh, can you not buy sparks with Goddess Tears or something? Or Faction Points? Can't check right now since I'm just about to go to class.... And won't be back for nearly 12hrs. Ah mmm guess I'll have to check it out later on when I log on.Pretty sure its a sack you can buy for a random one. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-10-16 Found this about a week ago. As far as I know, I'm the only person in the entire game that has one of these. Then again, it doesn't have any use yet, and it's difficult to even tell if something drops this, what with that invisible loot glitch and all. ![]() A few minutes ago, I probably had one of the most amazing runs in existence. Went through Domain on my Priest, found FOUR Average Reset Sparks, then found two rare average diamond sparks, and then used both of the diamond sparks and a reset spark on a ring that the boss dropped afterwards: ![]() Currently trying to sell it for 3k gold. Original Dragon Nest Thread - >Pineapple - 2011-10-16 Not sure I want to come back before the level cap is maxed out :\ gets so boring after hitting the cap. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Moonlapse - 2011-10-16 I'm having a hard time finding the price of stuff. Do you just search for the item you are selling? Alot of times my searches come up blank :/ Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-10-16 Rings like that are worth that much???? =O!! I have 3 rings with phys attack on them with phys attack hidden postential. I think I might have vendored one before cause I was running out of space rofl Original Dragon Nest Thread - 案山子 - 2011-10-16 Alilatias Wrote:Found this about a week ago. As far as I know, I'm the only person in the entire game that has one of these. Then again, it doesn't have any use yet, and it's difficult to even tell if something drops this, what with that invisible loot glitch and all. It dropped from a monster in the same ''family'' as the one in that description: ''Elite Kobold Artillery Unit''. If I had to guess, there's only 3 possibilities for what dropped that item. Either the Kobold Archer, Kobold Cannon-a-holes, or Kobold Thief-guys. All of these are from Desolate Isle, and nowhere else. The thieves and archers in the other dungeons aren't the same type of monster. The ones in Desolate Isle have no family in this cap ![]() Basically, if a monster is of the same ''family'' it can drop it's crafting item. For example: Need Banged Up Steel from Clubby, the Assembly boss, but find it not worth the trouble of running the currently most brutal dungeon in the game for solo? Then do Stronghold on Abyss. During the boss battle his ''bodyguards'' become Clubby-clones, and they do in fact drop Banged Up Steel. Stronghold is one of the easiest and fastest dungeons in Saint's Haven. Yay for alternatives! DrRusty Wrote:Rings like that are worth that much???? =O!! Not sure about their server, but definitely not in Gerrant. That'd only be worth around 200g~400g tops. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-10-16 DrRusty Wrote:Rings like that are worth that much???? =O!! Similar epic rings in Velskud are going for even higher, and they are unpotted. Checking the marketplace for the exact same ring yields nothing, so I'm guessing 3k is a fair price to start at. I'll probably drop it to 2k or 1.5k if it doesn't sell. Normal rings with physical/magical attack with physical/magic potential aren't worth much. They're quite common. Magic and rare rings would be worth more simply due to having more base physical/magic attack, and epic rings are worth a lot. However, this is Velskud, the more populated West server simply because at the start of open beta, it was the ONLY West server for god knows what reason. For a short while during Open Beta, Velskud and Argenta had to deal with waiting lines to even play in the servers. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Holypie - 2011-10-16 I'm pretty sure that ring isn't worth as much as 3k if you're basing the pricing on epic rings since epic rings have significantly better hidden abilities. Original Dragon Nest Thread - raizoo - 2011-10-16 I bought my Destructive Reconnoiterer Rings for about 250g each. One even had phys dmg/agi hidden already. Even the best blue rings clean were going for just under 1k gold. I wonder if I can find someone to trade my epic plates withhhh. ._. PervyLion Wrote:Ah mmm guess I'll have to check it out later on when I log on.Pretty sure its a sack you can buy for a random one.Yeah, 400 faction points from Golden Goose. Best thing you can do with those points, really. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Mibs - 2011-10-16 So I'm a lvl 27 Ele, going ice so far (I honestly can't see the point of going hybrid for this class), and I'm trying to upgrade my crests...but don't know what to get. So far I have one for glacial freeze, crit boost, hp, mp recovery, defense, and chilling mist. Also not sure if I should be doing every quest out there to level, or if I should be grinding. I'm doing weekly Minos and Gobartas...anything I could add to that? Original Dragon Nest Thread - ShinkuDragon - 2011-10-16 32 GET! is a superb lightning bolt plate worth much? Original Dragon Nest Thread - 案山子 - 2011-10-16 Mibs Wrote:Also not sure if I should be doing every quest out there to level, or if I should be grinding. I'm doing weekly Minos and Gobartas...anything I could add to that? Quests are your main source of EXP once you get to Saint's Haven, you're better off getting them done. You'd be doing the dungeons for them anyway, might as well take out more birds with that stone. Also, all Saint's Haven dungeons give you the same EXP, unlike in previous areas where some of the ''first'' dungeons of a level range would start to give less than the final ones for that range. Black Mines gives the same as Assembly for example. Original Dragon Nest Thread - raizoo - 2011-10-16 Anyone on Argenta want to farm Lab? :V Mibs Wrote:So I'm a lvl 27 Ele, going ice so far (I honestly can't see the point of going hybrid for this class), and I'm trying to upgrade my crests...but don't know what to get.Eles have long cooldowns. D: And dunno about what plates you'd need, but look here for suggestions? Original Dragon Nest Thread - ShinkuDragon - 2011-10-16 anyone is missing his mino runs, or would like to help me and heroDDC get ours? he's 26 :X, and we have to do all 7 runs, anyone mind coming to help? Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2011-10-17 ShinkuDragon Wrote:32 GET! I think it'd be worth a bit to Inquisitors, but I'm not sure how many Priests are planning on becoming an Inquisitor in the first place. Original Dragon Nest Thread - EarthAdept2 - 2011-10-17 Why are mages always the most annoying monsters in the world. Holy crud. EDIT: Oh btw jon, I got a superb whirlwind plate and circle swing. Are these good for you? Original Dragon Nest Thread - 案山子 - 2011-10-17 EarthAdept2 Wrote:Why are mages always the most annoying monsters in the world. Holy crud. Whirlwind is one of my key skills, so that one would definitely be good for me. Circle Swing is also good, but not sure if I'd personally get a crest for it only because I would eventually replace it in the build I'm using. If you have the stamps for it I'd definitely buy that Whirlwind plate off of you and supply the materials. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-10-17 So... I'm a bit tired of trying to find good builds only to see a bunch of vastly different ones from people just going "oh I think that looks pretty good" without any reasoning behind it. I sat down for 5 minutes and did a little napkin math to figure out how much DPS each skill was worth using my own attack range. LvL 26 850 max physical dmg range 600 max magical dmg range I took each skill and got it to around level 5 on a simulator and compared their DPS. I took the damage in the tooltip (Twin shot is 52% + 112 for each arrow), used my damage range to figure out how much each skill would do with 1 shot, then divided it by each skills cooldown to figure out how much DPS each skill would be worth if I just sat there and held my finger on the button on a mob that doesn't move. All of these are ESTIMATES. I didn't find exact DPS, and rounded each up to the nearest 100. Twin shot - 200 dps Piercing - 160 dps Multi shot (this is with ALL 7 arrows hitting the same target) - 53 DPS Magic Arrow - 60 DPS Charged Shot - 200 DPS Rapid Shot - 140 DPS I couldn't figure out frag arrow, because I know the initial hit does hit more than once. In the tooltip it says "splits into 6 arrows" but if I do the math it comes out to like 300 DPS which I know for a fact isn't right. I think the tooltip (147% + 114) might be wrong. That would put frag arrow at around 1k damage per arrow hit and I've never seen mine hit that hard. As for skill build, I couldn't find a calculator for the north america version of this game. Even the "old simulator" on dn.mmosite is weird about what skills you can use to a certain level. It says lvl 7 Piercing shot requires level 47 but mine is lvl 9 right now at lvl 26. Until level 32 though, I would do it like this Twin shot as high as you can go Piercing shot as high as you can go LvL 1 multi shot LvL 3 Magic Arrow Charged Shot as high as you can go Frag LvL 1 (for now... I might want to put more points in this) Aerial Chain shot LvL 4 Rapid Shot LvL 4 Swift Shot LvL 3 Siege Stance LvL 3 Rain of Arrows LvL 1 Guided Missiles LvL 1 As for Wisdom of the Owl, I really really like this skill even though most of the sites say to leave it at level 1 "if your crit is high enough" which doesn't make any sense to me unless there's a crit cap that I don't know about. Each point gives you +50% crit which is >>>>HUGE<<<<<. It's worth more per point than most anything else you can get. This skill also has almost the same cooldown as siege stance meaning if you use them together, your going to chain 1k+ arrows every 1 second for the entire 15 second duration of each. Anyone have a link to a good simulator I can use? One that uses north american skills? Original Dragon Nest Thread - 案山子 - 2011-10-17 Skill simulator: http://dnarmory.com/skill-calc?c=2&sc=14&tc=29&ll=50 Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-10-17 Thanks man that works perfect =D Here is the build http://dnarmory.com/skill-calc?c=2&sc=14&tc=29&ll=32#xESZjrN_BOiS_MbD It is 100% focused on maximum damage in a PvE setting as a physical damage build longbow archer. A few things to note - You want to open up with charge shot on a group of mobs if you can get a nice line up of them. This is by far the biggest damage spell in your entire arsenal. One hit of charged shot does more damage than most of your skills can do on groups of 3 or 4. When charged shot hits 4 mobs (or even more than that) your damage goes through the roof. Against a boss, try to use wisdom of the owl + siege stance together as soon as you get an opportunity to (where the boss isn't just going to out range it or something). Try to use it on cooldown as much as possible. Twin shot is your main ability after charge shot. Against groups, charge shot followed by frag arrow or Rapid Shot is your best bet. |
