We're having similar stupidity problems on Blackhorn. People die in fire, die to blade rush, or just do 20k DPS as though that's what they should be doing. There's even another Warlock that I'm trying to help with Affliction/multi-dotting, but he still can't break 25k. Sigh. We got to phase 2 a few times, so maybe he'll die tonight. Maybe.

lol yeah I know, spine is the hardest one, and i bet we won't kill it before another 2 nerf(if it even happen).
btw, can you give me the exactly location where you farmed junkboxes? I used the SoR on my brothers account, made a lvl 80 rogue and xfered it to my account to farm the boxes lol.

Tyr's Hand in Eastern Plaguelands is the best spot to farm as the place is big enough to endlessly cycle the place.

what type of strategy did you guys use? We have been trying with two heals and one tank tanking all the adds. I pick up the slayer each time but only tank it for about 5-10 seconds and then just run around soaking barrages and doing some dps when I get too many stacks/run out of cds. We only have me and the two healers soaking.

Across 14 tries, we got him down to 13% on our best attempt. The log above is from that attempt. We almost had him, but an early tank death ended it for us. Maybe next week...

we used 2 heals, 4 ranged dps, 2 melee, 2 tank, I tanked the adds alone, while the other tank(blood dk) soaked the barrages (I would help too) blood DK is too OP for all DS fights, anti-magic shell dont let you get stacks of the purple slime on yor'sahj, make you imune on the black phase on warlord, dont let you get the stacking debuff on gunship, etc...
we used BL on the last set of adds to burn them down fast.
the fight is "simple" on second phase, just tank and spank. the problem is the phase one, if people stand in fire, dont avoid blade rush, etc, you will wipe no matter what.

hmm yea we talked about maybe having me go dps and letting our dk tank, ill have to bring this up again. we kept dying due to the ship dying and our dps was handling adds fine so this might work out.

you cant tank blackhorn alone, the stacking debuff will kill you.
the strategy of only using 1 tank to tank the adds on phase 1 works better because the off tank can soak the barrages, making the ship get less damaged thus making less fire.
unless you are a druid so you can go cat form for first phase, then bear form on second phase.

Bottom right of the map. If you know where "Light's Hope Chapel" is, it's directly south from there.
It's the small green circular patch directly south of Light's Hope.

oh i found it, but i did some few runs on blackrock spire, its a good spot, pick pocket, run out of the instance, reset, pick pocket, run out of the instance, reset,....
but i can say, it is boring
farmed in tyr's hand for a while, and the mobs are giving me sturdy junkbox o_o

Dammit, didn't think the level difference would nerf the junkbox they gave. LBRS is a really nice spot for junkbox farming, a few people I know did that for their Insane, as opposed to Tyr's Hand.
