Puzzles and dragons - IllegallySane - 2014-05-11

I had to eat a stone on the 1st floor for Zeus because of lack of light orbs to burn down 2 of the chimeras, but afterwards it was a cakewalk to stall for turns at the masks. Demons I one shotted, but the chimeras man I had to use Echidna so I wouldn't die there. In retrospect I should've just stoned and use Menace on Zeus because those freaking one turn kills. Stoned 2 more times in total on Zeus since I was getting orb trolled and not getting enough Light orbs; got him down to ~5-10% before he used SUPERNOVA. I'm happy to have both Zeuses, and it's kind of bragging rights for my circle of friends as well.

Bagged 3 Super Kings, 7 Kings, and 13 High Golds despite being late by 15 minutes. Not too bad considering I was running Ocean of Heaven in between because tossing ~40+ stamina away like that seems so painfully wasteful. Can't wait to get rank 167 so I can stone once per 2 runs and make it even more efficient to level up Light monsters.

Going to stone like no tomorrow for Izanami tomorrow. Probably not touching Mythical because last thing I need is stoning like crazy only to get the Dark Izanami in the end. Actually now that I think about, owning both may be pretty nice. Hmm.

Izanami is known to be the hardest descend, although I haven't tried it since completing my ronia team. I'm still working on my kirin team, I decided to go;

Kirin, Apollo, Light Meta, Echidna and valk

If I need even more damage I'll sneak King bubblie in there with pavarti

Speaking of Izanami.

Decided Masters obviously. First two times I got orb trolled really hard and needed 2-3 stones a pop. Both times I encountered the DARK Izanami, what I didn't need. Nothing dropped from her. 3rd time I was on fire and only used one stone the run to get to LIGHT Izanami. Defeated her, and got her egg. I guess the first two runs were to purposely make that 40% for Light Izanami work for me.

Finally got a Unicorn after 10 runs of Ancient Light Dragon - Legend. Now I only have Cerberus left to get.

Welp being the pleb I am, I got super excited when I rolled a Odin (green) today.

I'm not actually quite sure what to do with him since I already have a Kushinahime... at the very least he should be great for stats alone.

If you pair him with ameratsu buddy you're pretty much unstoppable until you reach dungeons with multihitters/multi bulky enemies

Ya I've read that, I'm just not sure what to run with him as subs other than the ubiquitous orb changers, but he doesn't seem to suit a mono green team anyway. I'm guessing my Echidna would work really well, but I'm at a bit of a loss for anything else since I've never ran multi color teams before.

He makes a good stat stick with good awoken skills and........yeah. There's really not much left going for him as a leader after you get to multihit dungeons. There is a specific build using him to clear Izanami Descended on Mythical, but that's the last recent build I've seen where he's useful as a leader.


Got Cerberus today, all mythical beasts get. And King/Queen of Gods is so awesome for Dub-Mythlits. Glitter
If only Gung-ho could release specific dungeons for Keeper of Light & Dark since using 40, 50, or 30 for a 50% chance in stamina is really inefficient and I always seem to come up short on them...

Lucked out my ass today in Room of Sacred Mask - Mythical.
Only had 40% skill bind resist (from the two Sakuya leaders) and I resisted skill bind 3 times with it. Made floor 4 and the boss stage a passing thought.

Whoever designed this dungeon deserves a boot to the head; 99 turns of skill lock is just stupidly excessive.

10 turn Echidna get! Took some a few stones, but it feels so good to be able to spam Menace 1-2 more times per dungeon.

Also got enough team space to have Izanami replace my Siren. Rolleyes NOW TO GET MORE GOLD KINGS.

Hera-Is is today, and your last chance to farm Verche for the skill ups for the wonderful 5-turn orb changing. Took me ~8-9 stones of farming, but it was well worth it and I'm afraid Apollo will have to take a backseat until easier/farmable versions of his skill comes out. 16 turn orb changer vs 5 turn orb changer is pretty huge when it comes to a boss rushing dungeon like Hera-Is.

Speaking of Hera-Is, went in with my newly max skilled Verche on the team on Mythical. 0-stoned the place thanks to two 5-turn Light Orb makers and 10-turn Echidna saving my hide repeatedly. Now I only need fire Hera and light Hera to complete my Hera-em. Biggrin

I do not regret that terrible pun.

Lots of new things announced for Puzzle and Dragons from the festival livestream: (All in JP atm, will come to NA so get ready?)

- Byakko ultimate evolutions are Dark/Fire dragon and Dark/Dark devil, devil is devilit and gets 2 dark rows (op..), follows same pattern as other Chinese ultimate evolutions
- Koryu ultimates will be out that require orbs (not out in NA)
- Idunn&Idunna will get a new ultimate evolution to Water/Light, healer type, and leader skill becomes 3x atk, 1.35x hp to Healers
- Beelzebub will get an ultimate evolution using orbs as well
- Norse god stat buffs
- HP awakening -> 200 HP, ATK awakening -> 100 ATK, RCV awakening -> 50 RCV
- Lots of stuff about PaDW the tamadra game
- Two new godfest-exclusive gods, one is 4x to wood under 80% HP and 4x to healers when HP is full
- Dragonball collab
- Saint Seiya Collab
- When rank 120, can select two of your leads for use (so you can essentially have 2 leaders up)
- New descends, Wadatsumi and Zeus-Vulcan (fire)

This confuses me; my crazy self is hoping that we can technically have three leader skills running, but lord knows that'll break the game into fine pieces.
