Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Razmos - 2014-03-04
Started a new character, found a Legendary spear by breaking pots in the cathedral, then got 2 Legendary rings (both excellent) from the Skeleton King. hnghhhh. this appeases my loot hungriness.
They were my first ever legendaries by the way, so there I was expecting one to drop from a boss later in the game, and here I see the glorious orange text coming out of a damn vase in a random hallway, haha.

So the next best thing, asides from CotA runs, is now "Cage Runs" in Act 2 Quest 2 "Section 2". It's almost just as fast as Mira runs and gives the same 9mil quest EXP along with about a dozen or so mobs for extra EXP.
Now I'm wondering how long before every T6 quest gets nerfed to 3.1mil EXP lol.

So Blizzard nerfs one and the players move onto the next. Wonder how many times they will go through this pattern and nerf it all

Eh, CotA has always been viable since 1.0.8 days with MP10. Even if Blizz nerfs all quest EXP, there will always be CotA.

What's the best way to power level alts now other than having to go through all 4 acts? Would repeated CoTA runs be best?

I guess you could attempt CotA, but I'm not sure how viable that is.

Whoops. I completely missed the "Cage runs" mentioned. Any idea if the mobs are just as tough/hard hitting as the ones for the Mira runs?
Meanwhile, I can only wonder how Barbarians and Demon Hunters turn out at 70. Been hearing supposedly right now they are on the short end of the stick, while the rest are pretty well off. I guess they really need their 60+ passives and skills to be truly baller. Barbarians' final passive for +20% STR and Demon Hunter's Ambush sound like they'll be pretty staple skills for maximum deeps.

Okay, seriously, enough with the quest nerfing. What if i like specific areas of the game, such as act 1 in particular? Now I can't farm there repeatedly without playing through the rest of the game or else I'll get nerfed exp.

I think the hotfix is mainly talking about people doing one quest over and over endlessly. I don't think doing all of Act 1 repeatedly will be affected, but we'll see soon enough.

Oh god, so much for trying to repeat quests anymore to powerlevel.
Thank goodness I managed to take advantage of the Cage runs at least for this:
Went from 44-60 in the span of ~3 hours.
Remaining 60s to get:
1 DH/Monk/Barb
2 WD/Wizards
7 60s. With quest EXP nerfed, I gotta actually keep gear up, or keep it at Masters if I want to reasonably level and clear stuff. I guess I should still be grateful for the x1.50% Community EXP buff or this would take even longer.

This nerfing pomegranate is seriously ridiculous. I don't understand why Blizzard feels so compelled to ruin everything its players are doing. Like, I get that they don't want people spamming stuff but people are always going to spam whatever's best anyway regardless of any changes they make.

I just did level 9-58(almost 59) in about 2 hours and pretty much didnt leave the first act. I found so many Legendaries along the way too... it's simply amazing how some simple tweaking can make this game fun again

Found this crappy staff yesterday. It buffed my Enchantress a bit at least. I honestly don't remember the last time I equipped a two-handed weapon. :/

2h weapons are bugged and sometimes roll 1h damage modifiers. They're not worth using until the bug is fixed.

I'm really enjoying the game, much more than I did the first time I played (shortly after release).
Got my first plans, which in turn allowed me to craft my first set item, cool stuff :3
Also the 50% bonus exp is broken as hell. my brand new character is level 37 and i'm about halfway through act II. (my previous highest level character finished act IV at level 40)
