Solid episode all around. Can't wait for next week.

I laughed at Yang messing with Blake with a laser pointer a little harder than I should have. She should use a ball of yarn next time hehe.

So, did anyone notice that Weiss wasn't with Neptune at the dance? Or did I miss something.

I think it was pretty obvious that they weren't going to go together.

I'm just real sad about Pyrrha though

Personal headcanon says he turned her down. I guess we'll see next week.

inb4 their uncle gave Ruby his weapon. Also I rather enjoyed the back story, but my god the mysteries!

Expected a bit more action, but Team JNPR dancing together and Jaune in a dress makes up for it.

Oi, the part where Cinder was running on the rooftops was rough.

Neat episode. Oobleck is a great character, Zwei is adorable, Grimm are pretty interesting (finally).

Nice to see more and more plot development and world building. Bummed that there's only three episodes left, especially with the awesomeness that was Episode 8.

Mountain Glenn's backstory is awesome. Disappointing that there's only two episodes left in the Volume, the last few episodes have been KILLING it.

SERIOUSLY? YOU CAN'T JUST REVEAL OOBLECK'S WEAPON AND THEN CUT IT THERE. IT'S JUST NOT FAIR.

Compared to Volume 1, I'd say it's been a million times better in almost every aspect (animation, story, plot, etc.,). However, I'm still not a huge fan of how they did Volume 2. Too many new characters were introduced while the main 4 have barely been fleshed out, and the "second A team" (JNPR) has barely been seen. We barely know the villains, and haven't a clue what their plans are (especially with whatever the hell happened in Chapter 12 and when Emerald said "that's still days away", I'm assuming Roman didn't want to follow Cinder's orders any more).

I've seen a lot of people saying "the action should serve the plot, not the other way around", and I completely agree. While I love the action scenes in RWBY, they do little to progress the story (like that fight scene in the beginning of Chapter 5 where Pyrrha kicks the everliving crap out of Team CRDL (who we have no idea what they're like either, except that Cardin's a toolbag)).

Still, I'm hopeful for Volume 3 and excited for what happens next.
