Last week, I logged onto a Demon Slayer for the first time in so long just to go and get a spider familiar and I realize I don't have any pots or a weapon when I get their, lol I log out and try to log back in and I'm perm-banned. I sent a ticket but nothing, pretty sad I got perm-banned without even having an actual weapon equipped. What's even dumber is I went back on another account and there were botters at big spider still. -_-''

I got a theory. A farfetched one but a theory nonetheless, because such odd things have been known to happen. Could there be some sort of hack which somehow changes the name/info displayed to GMs? Example:
Non-hacker player is in the same map as the hacker player...
Hacker player can somehow change the appearance of their ign to that of the non-hacker player, and/or hacker can change the non-hacker's display of ign/info to that of their own character's.
I realize how unlikely this sounds; but if hackers can screw with skills/lag/dc, they can probably screw with all types of other things too, and this is one of those things. Maybe players do not see this in effect but only GMs can, that's why no one has reported on it or noticed it. But then again, I do not frequent hacking websites at all and there may be no mention of something like this in any of them.

This is really interesting because the other day my friend said she was in the FM and literally every person she clicked was the same Kaiser. I wasn't sure if she was lagging or something, but it sounds pretty creepy to me.

I do believe mistake ban but... i dont believe mass mistake perm ban is likely
so u guy are saying nexon mass perm banned atleast 20 of u here saying u guy are legit.... i could believe a few are legit .. but all? really nexon had that high error? cant even land one illegit?
in this fourm .... and im not saying who not legit and illegit ....
it just that what are the odd of all u guy are legit that got banned... and 0 illegit? here? lol well idk who legit or not but i do believe nexon ban some illegit

Nah, I think that's just some sort of lag, as sometimes you can right-click anywhere on the screen and it will always show the same person's ign on the right-click menu.

Nexon always provides video evidence or ss' majority of the time if questioned and they are 100% certain. There were at least 3 times that they showed players how they reached that conclusion on the forums concerning their character.
This is also not the first time that a mass permaban has happened and lasted a few months. Hell one just happened in december. Sorry that you invested 300 thousand dollars into an incompetent company, but you're looking pretty damn stupid trying to defend a clear error on their part.

Maple Crystal Chair (and some other chairs) has a gigantic hitbox, so it could've been someone sitting on that.

Why does Nexon doesn't make it an obligation to ALL GMs to only permanent ban players if they have a video of their guilt with exceptions of certain types of unrecordable exploits?
Having video proof instead of SS would actually solve many issues within the bannig part of their job.

Not entirely true, there was that one guy who was like "YO, I WAS HACKING AND YOU BANNED MY LEGIT ACCOUNT TOO? WHY NEXON, THAT'S NOT FAIR NEXON, I NEVER HACKED ON THAT -___-;". That was hilarious.

i sent a ticket about my stolen account, which i never played on in literally months, and it was on the list of account names being sold in basil because of the leak.
they said it was not compromised in any way and i have to get the account back myself.
i never gave anyone information, of course, but my password was probably crackable enough (first time i was hacked i quit for months, changed password and things) i put my remaining things on MTS and came back to it being taken from me completely.
now i'm paranoid as pineapple and have the max character limit on a password (64) with random letters, numbers, and words

As for Skelorm, even when I got unbanned it seemed like mostly copy pasta. Because I work in Tech Support, I too deal with tickets all day every day. I cannot begin to imagine the volume that they handle though.

that sounds unfair doesnt it? you get better treatment because you work for them in tech support and thus as shown in the ticket "hey keith" they know you so ofc the dont want someone inside saying bad things
but what of everyone else who are innocent like you? if you are inside nexon then maybe you should bring this to their attention and get other people besides skelorm (i hear he has a bad reputation for ignoring and not doing a proper job) since you are on youtube maybe you can try to raise awareness and have peopel tweet to them about this (not only for you)
so other people can be released just like you have. if you are a big voice in ms community then help us.
also i would like to ask "After reviewing your account and the video evidence," can they show us the evidence why do they always say and tlak about the evidence, the fotage but they wont show it or prove to us it exist so we can work it out

After my false autoban, I've taken to constantly recording video whenever I play. I am that paranoid now and reading threads like this isn't helping. What does it say about the company when I have to take precautions like this because not only is their autoban system malfunctioning, their appeal system is bs?
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me!
I won't comment on perma bans because supposedly those are done with video evidence, but it's very easy to see how their autoban system could malfunction. A fair number of players affected including myself were severely lagging at the time and this has been known to trigger autobans in the past. It's really easy to verify with the Body Pressure bug. Now that the autobans have been extended to 30 days the problem is far more dire and should be addressed.
In some ways, I almost hope I get banned while recording like [MENTION=5555]Zelkova[/MENTION];. That way publicity might bring about action.
