If you're going to screw the system, at least make something so lulzy, that it's hilarious. You'd have thought that after 2 server checks, Nexon would be able to say OHSHT something bad is happening and we don't know how to fix it.

This is exactly what I was thinking. The hack works in a way that you're not actually altering the item, you're just tricking the item. There's no real way to track it. The obviously hacked ones will get deleted, but ones that still have a chance of existing but being pretty damn lucky (like one that had only 7-9 scrolls passed) might stay i9n the game, even if they weren't legitimately made. I expect a log of smart people to make such items before moving on to make impossible items. That way, even when this is patched over, they still get to keep a godly item.

Not that Nexon cares that much anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if they know this is going on but are dismissing it as "just some lucky people" because they know jack squat about the game.

Horntail Necklaces in the first place have a code on them that doesn't let you use an egg unless it has 3 slots, so it's possible it also has a code where the def doesn't go over 255. That doesn't mean the same applies to all equips though.

Jump is also limited to 23% on a single item, I expect def/mdef are capped at 255 for some dumb reason.
