Kms Future Plans Q/A - HaruHaru - 2009-12-14 Dusk Wrote:I don't think Assassinate should hit more than 1. It's pineappleing Assassinate. Think about it. If its a passive boost, i'll suggest changing shield mastery to add WA. And that'll make a majority of shad population to reset their sp. xD Shads need to have their damage formula tweek abit too. We're such bad dagger wielders.
Kms Future Plans Q/A - Dual - 2009-12-14 FrozNlite Wrote:Cough. WE, the ARCHMAGES, are Masters of the Elements too, if we're going around labeling classes as such. I meant the fact that we have the largest number of elements to use, counting Holy as an element. Mages are still the true masters of their respective elements. ![]() Note that this fact has lead to my AM friends stealing my training spot ideas. Kms Future Plans Q/A - Rick - 2009-12-14 MysticHLE Wrote:They should just leave ultimates alone and boost up all other classes accordingly so that everyone would somehow get 20m exp/hour training (I honestly wouldn't mind if TT can do 80k no SE no apple if say a comparable Paladin is allowed to do 130k Blast no SE no apple)...and then up Magician's single target skills for better bossing. Because the ability to train just as fast as everyone but spend countless amounts more on pots, yet having no useful buffs and still not being as good at bossing as the others who train as fast as you is really what people will want in a character. Bad idea. Kms Future Plans Q/A - Dusk - 2009-12-14 I don't really want to be able to kill faster at the existing training spots. I'm already tearing up the existing endgame monsters in two hits. I think it's kind of ridiculous to ask for more damage boosts. I'd rather see better training spots. Something like ~300k HP monsters that give ~18k base exp, but without the poor design that plagues world tour areas. The rebalancing should focus on making all characters do things at a reasonable level, not make them all overpowered. Kms Future Plans Q/A - KaidaTan - 2009-12-14 Low level characters (from about 25 to 100) almost all train on monsters higher than their level -- sometimes as much as 20 levels higher. After 120, you train on the same monsters for the rest of the game. Now I wonder, what kind of insane monster would I be fighting were they to make regular monsters all the way up to 200? It'd probably be way better than what I'm training on now. B> Nightmare and Hell modes akin to Diablo 2. Super Newties that have 1m HP and resist physical, fire, and lightning? Yes please. Kms Future Plans Q/A - HybridStigmata - 2009-12-14 ShiKage Wrote:With the hundreds of millions of revenue that you're getting each year, you should be pouring more effort into the game to make it better, not turning it for the worse like Global has been doing. wizet doesnt make as much as nexon :/ Kms Future Plans Q/A - Dual - 2009-12-14 KaidaTan Wrote:Super Newties that have 1m HP and resist physical, fire, and lightning? Yes please. Those elemental resistances are part of the reason they have to change my class.
Kms Future Plans Q/A - Stereo - 2009-12-14 Hey, being able to hit 4-12k on 1 target is awesome damage for level 14x. 2-7k on mobs I guess if they have 80k+ exp each it might be worthwhile... Kms Future Plans Q/A - MysticHLE - 2009-12-15 Stereo Wrote:Hey, being able to hit 4-12k on 1 target is awesome damage for level 14x. 2-7k on mobs Not worthwhile for my pots as I keep whacking at a monster that practically has 2 mil HP for 80k exp. That's pretty much as bad as Manon and Griffey. <.< Though of course, if those Hell Newties drop some glove atk scrolls every so often, then I'll be okay with that.
Kms Future Plans Q/A - Link - 2009-12-15 HybridStigmata Wrote:wizet doesnt make as much as nexon :/ How does more profit go to the host company rather than the mother company? MapleStory alone brought in hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue in the past year. Wizet is the mother company. Wizet should have main profit control. I can see 40% going to Nexon and 60% going to Wizet or 50/50, but if Nexon is getting 90% and Wizet is getting 10%, that's poor company management. Wizet's developing team doesn't really need hundreds of millions of dollars each year to program lines of code or create pixelated art. The audio, however, I could see costing a bit, but hundreds of millions of dollars should be plenty enough for the company to run at least one whole year without any influx of money, if not more. Kms Future Plans Q/A - Eos - 2009-12-15 ShiKage Wrote:Wizet is the mother company. Wizet should have main profit control. I can see 40% going to Nexon and 60% going to Wizet or 50/50, but if Nexon is getting 90% and Wizet is getting 10%, that's poor company management. Your information is flawed. From the much repeated interview with Daniel Chin, AKA NXNeutral. Q) How did Nexon America begin and what exactly is Wizet’s relationship to Nexon? What is Wizet’s current status? A). Nexon America is Nexon Corporation’s North American publishing and game service arm. We started with the localization of MapleStory for North America, and have grown to support multiple game launches in North America. Wizet is the developer of MapleStory and also a subsidiary of Nexon Corporation. The Wizet team continues to develop and add content to MapleStory around the world. Kms Future Plans Q/A - Link - 2009-12-15 Nexon is Wizet's puppet master? That's pineappleed up. That's like becoming a Disney Imagineer. That's definitely something I'd never do with my own company. I would at max let a fellow company form a bond and share 50% of the profit, but giving up main control to another company is just wrong. I would rather go down than let them literally own my own work. Either way. Nexon themselves are making hundreds of millions of dollars off of Maple, then thousands or millions of dollars off of their other games. What are they doing with it? They're certainly not making their company better to make the games better. They're pretty much whiping their ass with money like toilet paper and rubbing it in their customers' faces. Kms Future Plans Q/A - Stereo - 2009-12-15 Wizet did go down, they ran the Betas and KMS, lost all their money and Nexon bought em up and made MS profitable. o-O Kms Future Plans Q/A - Eos - 2009-12-15 ShiKage Wrote:Nexon is Wizet's puppet master? That's pineappleed up. Think of Nexon as McDonalds, the different globalized Nexon's are the actual franchises reselling the products and Wizet as the supplier. It's nice to be able to make the ingredients for a happy meal - But you need to market your food and get people to pay for it. Developers aren't necessarily well suited towards localization and administration, someone needs to do the crappy expensive work to put their products out there. Nexon has the same relationship with DevCAT and the providers of their other games. They market, administer and police the games and submit their ideas and requests to the development subsidiaries. That's pretty much as bad as Manon and Griffey. <.<It's okay, you can go to Hell MP3. They'll resist everything but lightning, which they'll be weak to. 300k HP each and 16k exp. If you've ever actually played Diablo 2, you know why I'm giving all these monsters so many resistances. What the hell is a Barb to do with a whole group of enemies that are immune to physical? If it wasn't for my Baranar's Star and Stormshield, I'd be totally boned. Kms Future Plans Q/A - Stereo - 2009-12-15 The problem is that MS doesn't have that kind of thing... no matter what a Paladin does they'll always do 25% of their normal damage to an all-resist target, while every other class does 50%. No thanks. I'll keep MP recovery and lose MAGIC CRASH instead. Kms Future Plans Q/A - Dusk - 2009-12-15 KaidaTan Wrote:So maple is to blame for being a generally shallow game. I thought the Nightmare/Hell difficulties of D2 were pretty poorly designed. This monster is immune to every attack in my arsenal unless I followed some pineappleed up build or have some crazy equips! Sounds like fun! One equip basically meant the difference between plowing through a map and getting owned, which reduced the game to farming until you had good enough gear to move onto the next area. Elemental resistances are so pointless in MS. The role of elements should definitely be reduced to a minor damage boost/reduction (120%/75%?) and bosses should definitely not just a lot of resistances slapped on just to make them tougher. |
