Bleach Manga thread (SPOILERS) - CommanderJinn - 2013-07-09

Probably one of the better chapters as of late. Instead of just full page posing/reaction faces we actually get to see the others that went with Ichigo to get trained by zero squad. Also othe total absence of Ichigo in the chapter was interesting.

Bleach Manga thread (SPOILERS) - MrFry - 2013-07-09

Back to the shiba household he goes.

Bleach Manga thread (SPOILERS) - WayOfTime - 2013-07-10

byakugan Wrote:Filler in a manga. I don't read that many but I only seen it happen in Bleach.

Kyoraku coming down to earth to tell Ichigo's class that he wouldn't come back was dumb. Even if we conclude he holds some affection for Ichigo and wanted to do him a favor personally, I believe the thing with the most sense to do would be go to Ishinn Yuzu and Karin and let them pass the world.

I suppose he's on orders from SS' congress and they have decided Ichigo shall be captain of some squad.

Watch him reject them.

Keep in mind, though, that Uzuu and Karin are also part-shinigami, and his dad is a full-fledged shinigami. Wouldn't it make sense to eventually have them relocate to the soul society? Perhaps under the Shiba clan, since they all ARE technically under that banner.

Bleach Manga thread (SPOILERS) - Satellite - 2013-07-11

After this quincy war and stuff is all over, Ichigo rejects to become a captain, retires from shinigami duties like his dad, then we finally see some ichixhime romance scenes Heart, they get married, have kids and we get another series that's about the son of Ichigo. Shine

No? Lest you forget, all the people in soul society are dead. That's a fairly big difference between Ichigo and his family and everyone there.

And seriously, why would you want to live in soul society? There are two jobs: Soul reaper, and dirt farmer. And most of the soul reapers are worthless mooks too. There is literally no reason to give up a life in the real world to go live in a world where your choices are guaranteed poverty, or be forced to join an army where you'll probably be killed on your first assignment. (At which point you go back tot he human world anyway)

Well in fairness, he's a GENERAL of said army, it's not like he does anything but fight anyway Rolleyes.

Thank you. This is a point I've made here many times before. There's nothing heavenly about Soul Society at all. Heck they even starve for god's sake so you can't even say "well at least you dont need to eat if you're dead".

Now if we are being a bit npticky, considering the current lack of captains I'm sure Ishinn could take the banner of any squad he wanted, same for Ichigo. With both as squad captains they wouldn't be less rich than Byakuya.

Too bad the manga doesn't end in 9 days Rolleyes

Not with a 5 week break it won't!

Also, "9 days" in bleach doesn't mean much. For all we know, he could pull that time travelling bullshit like he did with the save rukia arc

Bleach Manga thread (SPOILERS) - byakugan - 2013-07-17

Wow, pineapple you Kubo. Mashima gives 6 chapters in 2 weeks and Kubo gives us 2 chapters in 2 months, talk about hard work.

I knew Kyouraku was there doing a favor to Ichigo, but since chances are huge he wont be kept away that was kind of dumb.

I don't get at all what happened at the end. Akon said seirete disapeared but the ones inside it only saw it change its layouts. Does it mean it was dragged into Juhabach's dimension?. If the later is true then one thing is confirmed, Aizen is participating in this pomegranate as there's no way he'd be tehre just tied up and watching everything.

I don't think he's doing it on purpose. Bleachs popularity is through the floor and he's probably stuck in meetings trying to bargin long enough to even be allowed to finish bleach (Unlike something like, say, Shaman King, which they just cut off in the middle of its final arc instead of letting it finish, although it did get a ending eventually...almost 10 years later)

Is it seriously still doing that bad? This is a mile better than the Fullbringer arc. Sure this last arc has gotten slower since Juhabach retreated but overall I'm quite liking it. I might be liking it even more than Aizen's raid on Karakura's arc.

No ofense to Toriko fans but I totally fail to see how a manga about a superpowerful chefs s even good enoug to be in Shonen Jump, let alone be better than Bleach these days.

I don't think it's the immediate releases that have a problem: plenty of people are reading them on release, but bleach doesn't seem to have a long tail of sales like other manga do. For instance, fairy tails in the top ten selling series in japan so far for 2013, but bleachs 2 most recent books have outsold fairy tails most recent 2 by several thousand copies, but fairy tail has sold almost a million copies of older books alongside the newer ones, bleach hasn't.

hehe i read Toriko cause food is cool. I'm more interested in the food thing than the fighting thing xD The massive amount of power level increases in the manga though is ridiculous. One second he can't beat anything and then the next minute (manga time) he can beat something 3 times stronger than the thing he barely beat last time.

That said, it's still been a bit more entertaining than Bleach lately C:

At least toriko basically pulls new techniques out of his ass. And he gets massive powerups from eating food!

The top chefs are all boss. Komatsu is kind of really pathetic at first but he gets pretty badass at times.

Bleach Manga thread (SPOILERS) - byakugan - 2013-07-18

Is it me or is Bleach's ending getting rushed by like a mile per minute? First we were supposed to already be in its final arc which would be longer than the Hueco Mundo one, now all reports around make it sound like it could be ending next year.

Takebacker Wrote:At least toriko basically pulls new techniques out of his ass. And he gets massive powerups from eating food!

Is that a complaint or a point on favor to Bleach? Please tell me its the later.

byakugan Wrote:Is that a complaint or a point on favor to Bleach? Please tell me its the later.

It's something the manga does different compared to other popular manga. It certainly explains the difference in popularity since one of the main complaints about bleach is that he uses one technique to win.
