Original Dragon Nest Thread - raizoo - 2011-10-11 Ugly crossbows, just like Maple. (*ω *) Hana Wrote:Guided Missiles is 1 of the 4 skill crests I would get even as a sniper. Even though it's based on magic dmg, I feel that this is better than getting Rain of Arrows due to its high CD.Yes, I know. I'm dat Recoil Shot fgt on certain forums, brah. ( ´,_ノ` )y━・~~~~ It's just I got a Frag Arrow from my 16+ pouch and then Guided Missiles from my 32+ so it's a bit loool to me. Problem is I don't have any kind of Mystical crest [I should have kept one for myself gg] so my mag dmg is slightly less than half my phys dmg. Edit: Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:While longbow has higher phydmg than crossbow and xbow has higher magdmg than longbow, if you look at the average values [(max + min)/2], xbow wins on phydmg and magdmg. Because the average is higher, even though you can't spam attacks to get an accurate dps rating, xbow will still do more damage on the average in physical and magical. Finally someone else notices this. I've been saying it everywhere on DNSource forums, but no one seems to care. I'm just going longbow for the crit. Unless my crit is high enough, then I'd switch to xbow for mobility at a boss. Original Dragon Nest Thread - 案山子 - 2011-10-11 Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:Btw, halfmoon damage vs animation also depends on playstyle. Some people want animation for PvE still because you're a sitting duck during it and that can be problematic (most noticeable during sea dragon nest). I'm still on the fence of which one I want. The charge time for it isn't an issue though, which is what I'm trying to say. It's only about a couple of seconds. Getting speed only for particular situations is a waste in my opinion. I'd rather go with something that's best for the vast majority of the time. I'm personally never a sitting duck while casting Halfmoon because I know how to chain into it. It's not a skill you just use while everything is right up on you. It's used when the enemy's guard is down, usually after Frenzied Charge. Charge drops the guard of most things, and even if it doesn't it still leaves you a large distance from the enemy which you can use to safely cast Halfmoon. I've played every dungeon in the game up to Lv50 cap and I can honestly say there aren't any situations where you would honestly need a speed plate for Halfmoon. That one plate doesn't make up for every other one of your skills being at normal speed. You use it fast, then need to wait 45seconds to use it quickly again. It's just not worth the speed plate with that kind of cooldown because it won't change anything else. Original Dragon Nest Thread - ShinkuDragon - 2011-10-11 DrRusty Wrote:Quivers

Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-10-11 Critical hits do more damage than normal attacks Question - When looking at a weapon's stats, if you enhance a weapon and it looks like this Level - blah Class - blah Type - blah -------------------- Physical Damage - 1~5 Magical Damage - 3~4 Crit Resist - 100000000 -------------------- [Enhancement Stats] Physical Damage - 5~10 Okay , the enhancement stats. Would 5~10 be the "new range" or is it added onto the "old range" making the weapon now 6~15? Original Dragon Nest Thread - Baklava - 2011-10-11 Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:My brother and I have 1 of every character, first half 24+, slowly working on 2nd half. I've already done most of the research for each class so I can answer stuff if needed. Alright, so...how are Clerics -> Priest in terms of doing damage/not dying/solo play? I kind of want to make one that uses all the lightning/electrocute skills. Original Dragon Nest Thread - ShinkuDragon - 2011-10-11 Baklava Wrote:Alright, so...how are Clerics -> Priest in terms of doing damage/not dying/solo play?as long as you aren't a swordsman you should be mostly fine, provided you keep your distance, i'd say priests >>> all on surviving though. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2011-10-11 are swordsmen weak or something? They look pretty hot Original Dragon Nest Thread - ShinkuDragon - 2011-10-11 DrRusty Wrote:are swordsmen weak or something? They look pretty hotit's not that they are weak, but that they ae in the heat of battle, compared to archers and mages that stay away from the enemies (archers not so much) and the clerics have the relics which paralyze enemies and also block them from getting near. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Holypie - 2011-10-11 Woohoo, got my orb to +8 finally. Now I have to start working on the hidden for it, it's like agi/mp recovery right now ;_; Original Dragon Nest Thread - Secun - 2011-10-11 DrRusty Wrote:Okay , the enhancement stats. Randoms will want a Saint, but playing with friends yay. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Hana - 2011-10-12 I love priests (inquisitor) soo much as they have so much utility. Survivability, damage, AoE, low CD on skills, and heal. This is why I gave up on my SS. It's funny that I have over 2k in crits on the priest, which is almost as much as my SS. I might have noticed it from one of your posts. I never paid attention much to the minimums but I'm pretty sure math theorems state higher average values will do more damage in the long run on most damage formulas. Their forum is kind of degrading though so I try not to post much anymore and just leech off info. ShinkuDragon Wrote:man, i need names, would be cool to play with maplers (and then steal their secre-errrr candy!) and yea raizoo, around those prices, i got a quality rain of arrows i've been trying to sell though If you see the guild "Legend" then that's a maple guild. I forget the other bello maple guild name but they're close knit and maybe 5-8 players. Baklava Wrote:Alright, so...how are Clerics -> Priest in terms of doing damage/not dying/solo play? DN priest is nothing like maple priest. Unless you're really bad or you try to attack all the time, you shouldn't die. You can solo pretty much everything, it will just take a while. For damage, it's actually pretty nice. It's not the best, but it's still pretty dam good. You won't see anything really spectacular though until level 50. Some notable skills - Heal: Heals %HP + X HP for you and party - Healing relic: Heals X HP depending on your magic range - Lightning relic: Sends out constant electric bolts that are very helpful in PvP and PvE - Cure Relic: Sort of like dispel (This one or the one below also gives +X% light attack) - Bind Relic: Binds enemies periopdically - Miracle Relic: Basically all of the above in 1 relic and the buffs are much much higher - Blessing of the strikes: Acts like bless in maple in terms of +attack/magic - Protection shell: Acts like invincible in maple but party skill - Some other buff: Gives +light attack/defense You have a ton of useful buffs and you're wanted for bigger bosses/nests. Plus you provide some pretty good damage DrRusty Wrote:also, the experience rate dropped drastically. I got to level 24 so fast, but this level has been painfully slow. Exp doubles from 23-->24 and 24-->25, and again later for 3.1m~ to about 4.6 Once you hit 24, you'll get better exp by going to saint's haven as the exp there will jump to match old exp rates. Do your weekly gobarta runs in the daredevil faire at level 24, they'll give you like 10-13% each run and take maybe 3-5 minutes (7 runs/week resets saturday 9am). Once you're 28, stronghold becomes the best place to exp grind. Original Dragon Nest Thread - ShinkuDragon - 2011-10-12 adding to that, some relics can be used to block enemies, big enemies get stuck between relics and have to go around them, good example is mino nest, where placing relics between your party and the boss prevents him from flame trampling everyone. except the swordsman, who just HAS to be near the boss to be able to deal any form of useful damage, until he becomes higher leveled (and even so, most skills own more the closer you are.) |
