Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Takebacker - 2014-06-12 Dudewitbow Wrote:Conan O'Brien Reviews Super Smash Bros for WiiU I can already tell i'm going to rage really hard at this without watching it Yup. Rage worthy. I wish he had called out that girl on her totally not being excited for the game though. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - shouri - 2014-06-12 Seemed funny enough to me. Not particularly rage inducing in any form 0.o Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Dark Link - 2014-06-12 Game and Watch showed up as a joke. [tweet]https://twitter.com/GameXplain/status/476560213349109760[/tweet] Also I found the Conan thing hilarious. I don't know how you can take that "Clueless Gamer" thing so serious enough that it's "rage-inducing". Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Polantaris - 2014-06-12 I'm not so sure about the Game & Watch thing. He's usually a secret character, isn't he? I wouldn't be surprised if they don't reveal him before release at all and make him a late unlock to fool people. I mean...how many characters are left from Brawl that aren't in Smash 4 now? Not very many, and many of the ones that are were secret characters in the first place: Jigglypuff, and Wolf especially. I don't expect them to be revealed at all if they are in the game. I did a quick lookup of the characters in Brawl that were revealed for Smash 4 (There's probably a list somewhere, but I didn't feel like looking it up)
Spoiler
The only characters that are currently not revealed are: Wario, Ganondorf, Ice Climbers, ROB, Meta Knight, Falco, Wolf, Captain Falcon, Ivysaur, Squritle, Jigglypuff, Ness, Lucas, Game and Watch, and Snake. I suspect a lot of them are just secrets. As mentioned way earlier by Lozmaster, when Brawl came out, there were more than a few characters that were not revealed prior to release but also from Melee. The only characters I expect to actually be gone are: ROB, Ivysaur, Squirtle and Snake. ROB was pretty damn random in the first place. Ivysaur + Squritle were part of Pokemon Trainer, who has been removed. They weren't really that great by themselves (at least in my experience/opinion), so I don't expect to see them unless they get redone like Charizard was. Snake would probably have been announced by now, and I just think he's been replaced by other 3rd party characters. I don't think any character that was in Melee AND Brawl is going to be removed, and I don't think Wolf is going to be removed either with a new SF game on the way. I have no idea wtp is going on with Ness/Lucas, though. You would think at least one of them would have been announced by now. Super Smash Bros. It's basically occams razor: There's no way they'd show a veteran in part of a trailer if he/she wasn't included in the game. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Justin - 2014-06-12 Dudewitbow Wrote:what if he got demoted into a assist trophy He was in both melee and Brawl, and Sakurai himself said before brawl came out that he really likes game and watch. There's no way he's getting cut. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - MariettaRC - 2014-06-12 Polantaris Wrote:I have no idea wtp is going on with Ness/Lucas, though. You would think at least one of them would have been announced by now. Ness has been in Smash Bros. since 64, and has been a secret character since then. People keep going "WAHH HE ISN'T COMING BACK" but out of all the past characters, I doubt they'd cut one that's been in the series since the beginning. Same goes for Captain Falcon, Falco and Jigglypuff. Lucas I fear might be cut, because he might have just been there to promote Mother 3, which was only about 2 years old at the time... and was a Japan-only release. I also highly doubt Game & Watch is being cut. Super Smash Bros. The point with Lucas...people said the same for Ike and he's back. I don't think either of them are cut but we have no evidence to support either way. Super Smash Bros. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Lozmaster - 2014-06-12 Hypermug Wrote:How viable is Dark Pit being a character? What could he do differently in Uprising that Pit couldn't do? He's literally a pit clone in uprising (he appears as a result of a baddy cloning pit with a magic mirror). Uses the same weapons and everything. He could fly under his own power for a bit because plot reasons, whereas pit needs palutenas help to fly, but loses it before the games finished. There are however more than enough weapons in uprising that they could simply give Dark pit a significantly different set of them to regular pit, if they did want to make him playable. Probably just be a pit alt costume again though. Super Smash Bros. Could just be an assist trophy too. I personally think he'd be a pallet swap, possibly with differently colored abilities. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Takebacker - 2014-06-12 1) Conan o'brian is never funny. I don't give a s'hit if you don't think it was rage worthy, or if you think it was funny. Don't let me ruin your enjoyment of it. 2) Game and watch is not confirmed. He does not have a character page. Gamexplain might be full of complete morons who can't make smash infomational videos for s'hit, but at the very least they have some kind of industry "in" to be able to confirm this kind of thing with some sort of weight. 3) Captain falcon is 99% chance not coming back. Little mac is his "replacement". Jigglypuff is 99% not coming back. Kirby is her "replacement". Ness is most likely not coming back, even though he doesn't really have anyone who can compare to his moveset. Being in the original game and all other games is a weak argument at this point. Sakurai is only really picking characters based on their having a unique moveset that brings something new to the table, and all of these characters have a counterpart that is simply too similar. Except in ness' case, he's just terrible as a character compared to literally every single cast member we know of right now. Ness would get his ass handed to him way too easily. After watching the game at best buy, i have complete confidence in #3 unfortunately. By the way, do pomegranites help with hemorrhoids? Also just going to put this here http://meleeiton.me/2014/06/10/invitational-impressions/ Super Smash Bros. Based on prior evidence, I'm gonna go ahead and say that Sakurai is keeping these for later. Let's face it, veteran announcements aren't exactly too hype worthy. No one cared too much that Marth came back or Samus came back or anything. But the fact that Megaman, Villager, et al were all new? Sparked hype for days. Your 99% statistic is retarded as hell Takebacker. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Takebacker - 2014-06-12 Locked Wrote:SSBB Release in Japan: January 31st, 2008. Feel free to call me out on october 3rd then. (or whenever these characters get unlocked by people in the days after) o.o I obviously wouldn't mind if three of the only characters i truly enjoy playing in the entire smash series are brought back. I'm saying that the evidence isn't there, and it doesn't look at all promising either, so there's absolutely no point getting each others hopes up when them being cut is a actual possibility. Being in the game since the beginning is not a guarantee, so the 100% chance statistic is retarded as hell locked. >.> Super Smash Bros. They're not going to remove F-zeros only playable character after confirming Samurai Goroh is still an assist trophy. Jigglypuff and kirby have both been in the first 3 games. Why is she now suddenly replaced by kirby? (If she does get removed, it's because pokemon has too many reps, not because of kirby...) They're not going to cut both earthbound characters after they made a fairly big show of finally being able to get through all the legal work to release Earthbound on the Wii U VC and then name dropping the mother series during the Digital event. They also wouldn't show game and watch in a e3 trailer if he wasn't going to be included. Super Smash Bros. Big difference. I also wouldn't base whether or not someone is coming back purely based on competitive observation. Replacements? Movesets? Uniqueness??? We had three Star Fox characters with similar moves and the exact same Final Smash in Brawl. Part of the game isn't just about competitiveness but also about just having fun by playing with your favorite characters. But I'd rather not get into a whole "WE TOLD YOU SO" thing when it comes out. This is all speculation, after all. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Evolite - 2014-06-12 How is Kirby a "replacement" for Jigglypuff? Because they're both pink buffballs? That's like saying we don't need Luigi when we got Mario already because they are both Italian plumbers with moustache. Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Evolite - 2014-06-12 Interesting note about Dark Pit. I was playing the smash bros demo at nintendo world yesterday. I noticed that Pit no longer has his "black" palette swap that he used to have in brawl. Coincidence? (and link lost the black costume with the red eyes, my friend who mained link was disappointed) |
