KajitiSouls Wrote:You get a constant stream of quests, to the point where there's only a few actual grind levels. There aren't exactly linear builds with each class, and there's a lot of experimentation. Oh, and you can't exactly spam potions to survive each dungeon, you have to be strategic in certain cases, especially bosses! Oh the skill involved! Speaking of skill, the better you perform, the more XP you get! Yay! And if you die, the only bad thing that comes about it goes away in 10 minutes!

So no it's not fun. Do I need to give you another hint? It's a great game.

-scratches head-

Fair enough, I'm hooked.

USMC Wrote:My style is simple, kill.

I try to maximize my damage output by not knocking things down, by doing X*3 cancel into skills like low kick, crushing fist and bone crusher.

Main problem is every miss = being hit, guaranteed. It's easy to dodge slow things like cannon, but not so much for things like stalker/wisp.

Best advice here is to do Masters instead of Kings where possible. By this point I recommend partying any time you even think about Kings, unless you're overleveled or well stocked on potions/tokens.

Holy shiit my level 35 skills rule. Charged laser is capable of doing 2300 on a HUGE range on my x axis and FM-92 Stinger (uses 1 clear cube fragment) is complete and utter rape on large targets/mobs, with 4 bombs each doing appx 1200 damage (large bosses get hit by multiple bombs, while smaller will get hit by generally only 1) in a wide area. Each use against Dorniar EX took off about 1 and 1/2 bars of his health, if 2 bombs hit. One use I managed all 4 to hit him, and he lost a full 2 bars. WHILE AIRBORNE. I can't wait to test this on Gangling Lotus. Large stationary bosses are now completely helpless against me Tongue Oh, and BOTH can be buffed by Eagle Eye, improving damage and hitrate.

So yea, lv 35 rules.

mas, is there anyway you could show me your skills ingame sometime. Or is it even possible for a lvl 35 to party with my newb lvl 8 gunner. (ill probs get him to 15 today, or however far my fatigue allows.)

Sure thing, remind me to save 1 fatigue today and I will. I'd show in PvP, but im too high a PvP rank.

It probably won't be a good idea though. If you party with someone 7+ levels above you, you get Noob-O-Meter which basically screws you over in the long run...

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Pomegranate - 2009-11-01

does the noob O meter ever go away?

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Holypie - 2009-11-01

Veeeery slowly. As in i had a character with 0.02 something percent noob-o-meter and after (4-5) weeks he still has 0.01%. And i only entered a dungeon with high levels, not even completed it.

As long as it isn't high, it doesn't matter much. Since I'm only entering 1 room with him to demonstrate skills, it shouldn't matter much.

K sweet. When I hit lvl 10 in a few mins I'll be able to try out alot of the ranger skills and see how I like them. Im stuck between launcher and ranger.

I'd suggest watching some videos of each subclass. Rangers are very single-target oriented, have a lot of super armor (no knockdown/back/up) moves, and hit a wide range on their y and z axi (up/down, vertical, respectively) while Launchers have strong mob attacks that are mostly linear/cone-shaped and are based on several smaller hits (with noteworthy exceptions).

Rangers are very strong in PvP, while Launchers are more difficult because of this. Launchers are fairly predictable, having almost every attack hit primarily the x axis. However, they still pack a tremendous punch, especially in TvT matches. Rangers benefit more from upgrading their weapons, as more skills for them are % based than fixed. Launchers have a high amount of fixed damage.

I'll log on and show you some skills of mine in a minute.

Well I just got some more ranger skills at lvl 10 and I'm not to fond of them. Maybe because I'm not to good at using them yet.

Anyone wanna help me kill the last 8 Lotus Seeds (in Hatchery Master's) that I need? Sometime before I have to go back in 5-6 hours.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Holypie - 2009-11-01

As a level 31 launcher with no hp potions, is it better to farm Dragonoid for hearts or Purgatorium/Outer Wall for tentacles/Eucharists?

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Fiel - 2009-11-01

Outer wall. You'll get decent exp so you're not wasting your fatigue.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Holypie - 2009-11-01

Sure, Outer Wall full runs it is then.

Holypie Wrote:Sure, Outer Wall full runs it is then.

Uh no best not to do the room with the Lotus's Puppet unless you know you can take him out with no hassle.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Holypie - 2009-11-01

Yeah I kind of figured after my first kings run... Almost fulls on masters then. Also it's sad because the lotus puppet room has lots of he'etakos.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Erich - 2009-11-01

I'm gonna give DFO another spin, but i'm not sure what to do. What class uses the most combos? I need to train for aran Rolleyes

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Fiel - 2009-11-01

Haven't really tried other classes, but monk is pretty button mashy.
