Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - FabledGumbo - 2014-03-03 So if I were to get into this game again, what would I do now to prepare for the release of crusaders with the expansion? Last I played my barbarian could clear through inferno at monster power 3-4 at a decent clip and I got to paragon level 30 something. Only two things you are strongly recommended to stock on since it's basically a complete gear reset from 60 to 70. Mind you, gold can no longer be brought from the RMAH. I thought Blizzard put in some kind of bind to account items that I thought were like the heirloom stuff in WoW. Cains set 4/4 The Leoric's Signet Best red gem you can get your hands on for dat exp % Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-03 A few WoW buddies and myself did a grind session on the Mira quest for a few hours. Quite a few legendaries for the each of us and nearly 25 Paragons per each of us. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Shidoshi - 2014-03-03 Not that much sense in stocking up on materials right now, as for level 70 equips you will need a different set of materials obtained only from salvaging lvl 61-70 equipment which are not currently available. What I've been doing now is working out what build works best for my different characters and leveling up those paragon levels. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Razmos - 2014-03-03 Would the game be more enjoyable now than it was, if I decided to start again from scratch? or is most of the new changes focused on the higher levelled people? Also a rather silly question to ask, but the loot changes and stuff was released as a patch right? I don't need to buy the expansion? Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - JoeTang - 2014-03-03 Razmos Wrote:Would the game be more enjoyable now than it was, if I decided to start again from scratch? or is most of the new changes focused on the higher levelled people? The leveling experience is much more rewarding than before since general items have more useful stats, especially with Smart Loot making 50% of your items have stats you can use, Act Bosses drop a guaranteed legendary for your first kill when you're below the level cap (60 now, 70 in RoS), and monsters scale with your level. Shidoshi Wrote:Not that much sense in stocking up on materials right now, as for level 70 equips you will need a different set of materials obtained only from salvaging lvl 61-70 equipment which are not currently available. Stocking up materials for Reaper of Souls only facilitates the leveling from 1~60, where those materials may be used. There are a few items that would be very good to be crafted, but most don't require excessive amounts. What I've found with crafting so far is that I can farm the pomegranate out of Common Debris quite easily. Most recipes don't require many Exquisite Essences, but the ones that do require a ton. Gehenna's are 48 and Wondrous Deflections need fucking 80 and I've burned through my stockpile of 1000s. Some of the lower level sets have slots that require a lot as well. Iridescent Tears don't salvage as much per drop, but rares are a lot more common than magical. If you're playing on a lower difficulty (Normal~Expert) you'll probably be finding enough loot to craft a fair amount, but higher difficulty, you'll be outleveling your crafting range quite quickly. I would recommend buying the Cain's set recipe, and Captain Crimson's. Cain's gives a decent EXP boost, and Captain Crimson's Bowsprit (Pants) rolls IAS and Block Chance at 30. If you play some Reaper before-hand, instead of starting the Crusader or any other character at launch, you could find a level 70 weapon with up to -22 Level Requirement, if I remember correctly. Mind if I join you sometime? Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-03 JoeTang Wrote:Mind if I join you sometime? Anyone is welcome. I don't know your schedule as this was our first grind session and we went until 1am PST. Also depends on their schedule as well. I'll attempt to contact you whenever we start and see what happens. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Arcana27961 - 2014-03-03 So there's a 50% Bonus EXP event going on until the 24th. ![]() Also found the legendary wand, Fragment of Destiny, which increased my damage slightly. Now if only I could improve my Source. Getting a bit bored of my Chantodo's Force. :p Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-03 So that explains what people were talking about. Didn't get a chance to play before a friend came over and I saw it being mentioned in general chat. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - IllegallySane - 2014-03-04 Awww snap. A fast way to level my alts and lowbies. Now to farm a Hellfire ring for the EXP bonus. Remaining 60s to get because achievements: 1 DH 2 Monks 2 WDs 1 Barb Hardcore can wait. *Grabs up all Megas XLR episodes and all episodes of Sleepy Hollow*

I just did a few runs and got a good 13 levels in, plus a few (bad) legendaries. I just throw down Big Bad Voodoo and she simply explodes. Poor Mira. Huehue. Foolyz#1294 IllegallySane Wrote:*Grabs up all Megas XLR episodes and all episodes of Sleepy Hollow* WHAAAAAAT-- please share the Megas XLR eps. I think my inner child just died and went to heaven. Not particularly profitable and very boring, but hey, somewhat fast leveling on alts. EDIT: Usually ranges from 2-4 minutes for a level or two. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-04 People are calling that the backup plan if the Mira quest gets hotfixed. Haven't tried it personally since I did a "Reset Quests" and just recently got to Act 2. Apparently you can get about 10+ million EXP every 1-1.5 minutes. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - z0mgc00k13 - 2014-03-04 Pretty much. A demon slayer with as much discipline and vsulting around makes for like a minue long run in my experience, without load times. Edit: math is hard Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - IllegallySane - 2014-03-04 This community buff is the best thing ever. The 50% MULTIPLIES, not add (unlike the Cain set and gem. Most likely Hellfire ring too). Can confirm when at Torment 3 I was at >900% bonus EXP with just a Ruby socketed helm. So doing Torment 6 would be like leveling at the speed of light. Getting alt up at this time is indeed most ideal, especially for the sake of the duo class achievements. Foolyz Wrote:WHAAAAAAT-- please share the Megas XLR eps. I think my inner child just died and went to heaven. I torrented em here: http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/6005011/Megas_XLR_Complete_Episodes___Pilot___Soundtrack These places can work too if you just wanna stream the episodes http://www.gogoanime.com/category/megas-xlr http://www.animeflavor.com/node/21005 z0mgc00k13 Wrote:http://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/1zcffc/quick_way_to_get_roughly_46_million_xpmin_without/ mfw. I could use a nice rotation of Mira runs and this. Actually, this may be more efficient since I can only handle Torment 3 on my Monk, and I sure as heck ain't going to throw money at the AH each time I need new gear upgrading, especially an alt. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-04 People are reporting 50-75mil per CotA run on T6 with the community buff. Unlike Mira runs though, it's purely for EXP value and not legendary value. My Wizard is also really only suited for T3-T4 as anything higher takes forever. Unlike Mira runs though, it's purely for EXP value and not legendary value. Yeah, I'm only partially interested in CotA runs. I'm sitting around T3 being my best times with runs when solo. I guess it's CotA or bust. Mira and Caldeum exp have been reduced. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Dark Link - 2014-03-04 Whelp, looks like CotA will be the way to go for farming Paragon Levels now Quote:General: |
