Patch Feedback Thread - SaptaZapta - 2013-03-06 Razmos Wrote:Hime pretty much said so She also said that "according to our developers, it was never missing!" which, combined with her usual expertise... Let's just say I'm not holding my breath just yet. Patch Feedback Thread - Razmos - 2013-03-07 I look forward to the day Kasen's damage% is fixed and I gain an extra 12k range. Pwetty Pwease nexon. I sent them a ticket regarding Kasen, but it's just sitting there... Open. Tempted to close it and resend it since I sent it on a weekend. Patch Feedback Thread - Prism - 2013-03-08 I'm still disconnecting like crazy on my Kanna. Game just crashed after teleporting. This is getting old fast. If this happens during a boss run I'm gonna rage so hard. It's already costing me party spots at LHC. Patch Feedback Thread - Nion - 2013-03-08 http://maplestory.nexon.net/Community/#%2Fshowthread.php%3F770495%26p%3D6519991%26viewfull%3D1%23post6519991 So now people can be happy. Let's see how it works though because in kMS, it came in parts. Maybe we'll get it all at the same time? Patch Feedback Thread - Dark Link - 2013-03-08 I have a strong feeling we're getting them all in one giant patch, even though I'm strongly against it due to I don't want another Renegades shitstorm. However, the whole hyper skill updates + evo world are very small things being added to the game so I don't see anything that could go wrong. Patch Feedback Thread - Dark Link - 2013-03-09 MetaSeraphim Wrote:However, the whole hyper skill updates + evo world are very small things being added to the game so I don't see anything that could go wrong. All Hypers + Evo World + Dimension War + Monster Park Revamp and Extreme + Kerning Square Revamp. That's still a decent amount for one patch. I feel like some hypers will be broken upon release and do "pseudo-damage", similar to Rose Carte Finale and/or The "50k Damage Boosts" being broken as well, similar to Heroes' Oath. Patch Feedback Thread - LiquidSwing - 2013-03-13 i suppose we can just recycle this thread for the new patch so far no d/c at all while playing hayato, and i love playing him. just as fun as i thought he was also i will confirm that Battoujutsu soul DOES give the crit, even if it says 0%. it tacks on the free 15%. I will also confirm that Willow Dodge has no dodge on it. Literally none :/ I hope this isn't intentional. i havnt gotten to 4th job yet, im only 84. when i get there ill let you guys know if Cleaver works or not. Edit: Im also 100% sure the 20% avoidability on Master of Blades does not work. I havn't had a single miss since i started my hayato, and its making willow 100% worthless edit2: it seems the 20% avoid may work, but willow's buff does not. either that, or im the unluckiest person in the world because i cant get willow to proc Patch Feedback Thread - Link - 2013-03-13 LiquidSwing Wrote:i suppose we can just recycle this thread for the new patch Yanagi Yoke's damage buff only activates for the dodge rate (where it has an animation), not evasion rate. GMS gone dun f'ucked up. Patch Feedback Thread - LiquidSwing - 2013-03-13 Link Wrote:Yanagi Yoke's damage buff only activates for the dodge rate (where it has an animation), not evasion rate. GMS gone dun f'ucked up. well that explains alot. alright, im 150 now. not having willow grant dodge is a huge pain in the side. now that i know willow's damage buff only procs on the dodge that has an animation, it now makes alot of sense that I cant maintain even 3 stacks of willow while all the JMS hayatos I saw could keep up a 5 stack if they sat on a boss. this makes me very, very sad. Cleaver works 100%, so thats good. I havnt gotten to do any extensive testing on counterattack and DC'ing "for the hack reason." Though judging by Nexon's track record with Powerguard-ability classes, I would just assume its the same here as it is in JMS. I just havnt put a single point in it at all after hearing Link's tales of frustration regarding it. though counterattack's description makes no mention of hitting 3 monsters, so I guess we just assume it returns damage to a single attacker. some general thoughts I have on hayato: I feel as if this class is a much, much better fit for JMS, and should have stayed there. The engaging and intuitive playstyle of Hayato involving skill chainings is much more suited to training at places that are not mini-bosses. Having zipped through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd job so flippin' quickly left me wanting to do more combos in 4th job, only to find out that there is no fun allowed at LHC. It makes me very sad, because the combos are very, very fun and extremely satisfying. You do alot of damage and move across the map quick. However, alot of those skills move you around alot, and just are not suited for GMS style training, where you are often attacking(or missing) mobs that have higher HP than normal. Like going to jesters early, and of course the classic case of LHC and SH. I also feel like I missed out on a really cool ability with Falcon Dive because it works beautifully at solo training maps, but is god awful at LHC. It doesn't rush monsters, so you have to combo it with Whirlwind Cut if you dont want yourself thrown far, far ahead of your enemies. Having it throw you into the middle of mobs below is a massive pain because Hayato does not have 100% stance, and its even more of a pain in GMS because willow lacks its dodge component. On the topic of Rush skills, I really wish Hayato had a typical one. Whirlwind Cut is really cool, but at LHC or SH you often find yourself flung far ahead of your enemies and not rushing a few of the monsters you had your eye on. Another case of a really really cool skill that fell face-flat due to GMS training styles. Overall, I really love this class and its almost everything I had hoped it would be. In my opinion, many of hayato's problems come from not being suited for GMS training. Im not going to comment on whether GMS's method of training is the best, but I will say that hayato is not suited for it. In short, having Hayato be released in GMS only makes me want to play it in JMS, where his playstyle shines beautifully. I just feel like im not getting the whole Hayato experience because once you hit 110, you hike your butt off to LHC, the land of buggy mob-rushing and no air-lifting enemies. If anything, I'll commend Nexon for crafting one of my favorite classes of all time. On the other, I wish I had places to train solo past 120 so that I could get the entire Hayato experience. still made him my main tho Patch Feedback Thread - Link - 2013-03-13 Yanagi Yoke / Willow Dodge most definitely has a dodge effect. I don't see the damage buff ever activating, though, which is odd. Patch Feedback Thread - Arcana27961 - 2013-03-13 It seems my Mihile friend hasn't received the quest from Sakuno to do the Ranmaru expedition, and he even tried speaking to her in Momijigaoka. Anyone else having this issue? It's all working fine for me though. Patch Feedback Thread - noeul - 2013-03-13 Link Wrote:Yanagi Yoke / Willow Dodge most definitely has a dodge effect. Patch Feedback Thread - MetaSeraphim - 2013-03-13 LiquidSwing Wrote:In short, having Hayato be released in GMS only makes me want to play it in JMS, where his playstyle shines beautifully. First I must ask, does JMS have some unique training spots where Hayato shines? Or it is the same spots we have it's just we never use them? Nothing forces us to train at the best maps in the game besides the desire to be stronger in the fastest way possible, nothing stops us from making Hayato shine as bright as he does in JMS but ourselves. This Quote:Nothing forces us to train at the best maps in the game besides the desire to be stronger in the fastest way possible, nothing stops us from making Hayato shine as bright as he does in JMS but ourselves. Exactly. Though, at level 160, JMS doesn't have the later maps of Stronghold as a party play zone, so the maps like Hall of Honor are REALLY where Hayato can shine. Patch Feedback Thread - Razmos - 2013-03-13 The class plays pretty flawlessly, at first I didn't really get it and the movement seemed kinda choppy, for example the super jump when you double tap Up has a massive delay, but after a while of playing around I realized that as long as you use ANY move while you are in the air the delay disappears completely. that combined with the first job movement skill makes Hayato a very mobile class. Once I figured stuff like that out my opinion of the class increased massively and I found myself having fun. I've DCed twice on my Hayato, both times were when using the first job movement skill in the Free Market. Ranmaru is a... nice new boss. He doesn't really seem worth it though. He's easy to kill, but he gives like, slightly more exp than one of Zakum's arms and his drops are terribad, at least on normal mode. I'll keep fighting him though just to see. His damage reflect is quite hard to spot visually, but if you listen for what he says or the sounds he makes you can easily tell what he is doing, he makes a different sound or says something different for every skill. Glad to finally have Kanna fan scrolls, 5 out of 7 have worked on my fan so far, with 1 slot left. A nice boost in power when combined with Hayato's link skill, my Kanna has gained about 3 or 4k range. It's a bit lame that Hayato gets extra equipment at level 30 and 60 when Kanna didn't despite them being in the data. There has been no unscheduled maintenance yet, which is rare. Patch Feedback Thread - LiquidSwing - 2013-03-13 Link I thought you said that LHC and SH maps werent party play zones in JMS? if theyre not, that gives you a pretty massive incentive to solo train, which is why I said JMS is more suited for his playstyle. but if LHC is party play in JMS, then I would be more curious about why you dont train there at all |
