WE (Or at least me), knew that maping was suspicious since the day we lynched moldy, we just needed to push people to lynch him. and Maspan practically started what ended up in moldy lynch and i just kinda helped him with that (Read: Kinda). Honestly uncovering the groups may have made the thing a little more confusing to get to the mafias. Then again, maspan had plans on start the inquiry of the mason groups if he wasn't killed.
