That wasn't the case here at all though, it was:
Title: "Does anyone have x"
Content: "Because I heard they get y and want to know if it's true"
And that is a perfectly valid stream of thought. The content added context to the question, exactly as it was supposed to have.

I actually haven't seen the thread, so I'm just saying titles make an important part of the conversation especially if phrased as a question.
But now that I've seen the thread, God damn what a retarded thread.

Very cute Eos. Still doing that whole personal thing aren't you? Anyway, I don't give a rat's ass about change if the change itself isn't terrible. However most of the changes in this place are pretty bad although there are a few that I particularly didn't even care about. e.g. Pineapple system, orientation/gender symbols, tweets, wordpress change, pre-fix clean up, auto save being enabled, the whole donation drive thing for Nexon's documents, etc etc.

i don't mind the kid, most of the forums doesn't, and he is actually helpful/posts interesting stuff. BUT.
he admitted to hacking.

This is getting pretty ridiculous now. It's obvious that this isn't open for debate and that Eos isn't going to change his mind based on what multiple people think. The post was a notice of change, not a poll. There's nothing we can do about it.
If we're talking about Moderation Enforced, then let there actually be some in this thread. If I were a mod, I would have closed this by now. It's become nothing but a flame war between Eos and heavy posters.
A thread like this was meant to inform and not discuss. It's just building up tension and making everyone butt hurt.
It's threads like these that make newer members like myself see no difference between SouthPerry and Basilmarket. -_- The same childish flaming on a smaller scale and between the same group of people.
The whole entire thread should fall under baiting/drama.

People are free to share their opinions on changes. If I didn't want them to be able to do so I would've created the thread as closed from the get go, or closed it at any point I felt additional commentary was no longer worth making available.
Digressions are a natural part of all conversations in group settings as people try to insert their own agenda into the flow. Case in point; You're doing it right now, still.
You're the only one in this thread who's been saying people shouldn't have different opinions or try to discuss those differences. Telling me how I should be acting based on a rule that you've imagined is just silly.
I'm not even going to try to dissect how anyone could possibly be "better" than anyone else in this scenario you've created, but I think it suffices to say your understanding of the situation is flawed.

The only pathetic part I see in this thread is how discussion is encouraged but nothing can be done about it. I mentioned Reddit earlier in my posts and a subreddit that did this (/r/BestOf) just had an experiment for a week to see higher enforced moderation and gave the users the ability to form their opinions to change the ruling and lay their case. 5 days into the week they ran a poll to see who liked the enforced rules and then 2 days later the stricter moderation won. Some people are unhappy sure, but it collectively got the most votes for the change. Unfortunately here in Southperry discussion here about recent changes doesn't lead to anything nor will it ever. You can say all you want but your statements will never change the stubbornness of the rule placement here.
