I did what everyone pulled me to do yesterday. And yes, I have to be pulled into doing this because I do not enjoy doing rents, the requests are overwhelming and I don't like getting stalked or mobbed, I'm private personally and haven't enjoyed being on my main because of these requests for about a year now. Before yesterday I didn't even do rents often, I have the "never available" reputation since Nebulites came out at basilmarket.
But when it comes back (PVP returns?), Windia will have free skill rents off me for one full day. That's all I can do because if you even know what the hell you're talking about you wouldn't even be saying that stuff; hell you don't even know how many players were in PVP yesterday. 12 hours non stop trades every 20 seconds and it didn't end till 3 minutes before the server went down.

Except the hole would have been there to be seen already. You would have willingly bought it with a hole.
You really can't compare Maplestory's economy to real life's without having some glaring problems with that. There is no governmental system to prevent someone from scamming someone else in Maplestory. The GM presence is nonexistant, the Ticketing system is a joke. Whether you like it or not, people will be greedy. Its how this game has unfortunatly panned out. You cannot force someone to stop being greedy just because you dont like it. People are going to do what they want because ITS A GAME. You dont play maplestory to try and replicate real life or its faults, You play it to have fun. Dont like the greedy merchants? Dont buy from them. Simple as that. Ignore them and go about your business. Nobody is forcing you to buy items from them, Nor is anyone forcing you to buy the best/greatest item to try and have "godly" damage. You put that upon yourself.
You may be sick of people being greedy on maple, I'm sick of people acting arrogant and superior whenever they feel they are in the right.

I'd like to think there's quite a difference between an experience gain exploit, sales of hacked/duped gear, WELFARE FRAUD (We're talking about a game here, the hell is wrong with you?), and a glitch for skill use. Also, what is this "selfishness"? Are you seriously trying to say that selling a service and making a profit is "selfish" or "wrong?" May as well just go and give all of my stuff that I find away, because it'd be selfish for me to profit off of it! You need to get your head screwed back on straight.
There is no "hole in the shirt". A 3rd party, "Nexon" came and ripped the shirt in half. Does that mean the one who sold it to you has ANY obligation to compensate you for that? No, not one bit.

Notice that i'm not arguing that it's unfair. I'm arguing that it's unfair that they didn't explicitly tell us months ago that it would be removed and instead decided to keep silent for the sake of making 8k per rent. No one deserves to be treated this way, and it technically being a glitch is not an excuse.

The part your missing in your analogy, is that you knew that the engine would explode eventually. You willingly bought the car knowing that there was a chance it would explode, and the dealer told you beforehand that it had a chance to. Thats what it comes down to.
You all knew that it was a glitch. You all knew Nexon would fix it eventually. Don't give me that crap that nexon doesnt fix glitches. EMS did it. KMS may not have, but KMS didn't do alot of things that GMS does. You can't fault them for fixing something that honestly, should have never happened. I hope that skill rents honestly never come back. It makes classes nigh-useless. I dont fault anyone for making money off of it though, I bought the rent's myself. I enjoyed them, and now that they're gone, maybe Maplestory will actually be somewhat of a challenge.

He's literally the most well known person in windia, and he helps people on a daily basis as well as providing free middleman services.

I got my HB at lvl 120 when all you had to do was equipped it, drop it and voila!. (Pre-BB) I knew this day would come and I have no regrets. SE, CO, Haste, Mystic door they all helped me to reach lvl 18x, but decent HB was the only one I cared for.

It's a bummer, but I agree that A) we probably deserved the wipe for abusing a glitch, B) the sellers are obviously not at fault, and C) it is kind of nice being on a more even playing field/my class is needed again.
As for my loss of HB, that is pretty bothersome because even with HB I was pretty dam squishy. Now bossing is going to be a b'itch
