@MrTouchnGo I don't know if those are untradeable, but yes they can create untradeable items

ok, can anyone tell me, has there ever been a hack more... game-destroying than this one?

comparing it to duping they both have their ups and downs (one allows for massive stock of items, the other allows for generating rare items)

but i mean, the list of broken things you can generate with this hack is just... absurd...
permanent "the hardcore" medals, along with a permanent heart that you can 20%, some dojo #1 gloves to go with it, a gm hat because why not be a bit fancy. etc.

heck, you could even get yourself a bing suit for kicks.

I don't get why Korea codes such easily exploitable features for GMS, yet never seem to fall down this particular pit in KMS.

I suspect it's because S Korean takes a very serious legal stance against hackers because of things like this. Combine that with requiring KSSNs to register and maybe that just eliminates a large portion of the hacking population?

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but anyone else think Nexon's somehow behind this exploit themselves? And look at how conveniently this issue pops up pretty much right after duping was patched.

Ultra-rare-impossible-to-create-but-conveniently-exists-in-data items = pomegranateload of buyers = pomegranateload of $$ for Nexon. (I wish there was an emoticon with dollar signs in the eyes on this site made just for describing Nexon).

Watch this take months-years to (really) fix...just watch. Someone on basil was saying it was fixed but I wouldn't take their word for it.

They "fixed" it. But didn't do a good job as based on their post, anyone who generated items that were "obtainable" probably didn't get them removed. So I wonder how they will "really" fix it.

Honestly, they need people checking-in on the game during weekends once in awhile. How many times has it happened where an exploit went wildfire over the weekend and wasn't fixed until Monday?

That's why the good lord blessed us with BannedStory. I’m sure someone else can do better though.

Out of desperation, innovation is born. I'm willing to bet that there is far more left private and could be just as devastating as this. (Although, I do believe this to be one of the worst hacks in the game....item wise anyway)

Nexon links blocked from my job Frown so I couldn't see the message and haven't noticed it on notifications here but oh well. Half-assed fix is half-assed fix, you can't expect anything less from them and even them lifting a finger is pushing it. If they didn't fix it for items that are attainable that's like another method of duping being left intact (even worse than duping because it'll be impossible to tell what is and isn't duped).

People checking in during weekends? Try people checking in during the ("work") week for starters.. if ever.

That made me laugh a bit. I'll just pretend that [Image: ee9536ca.png] is an emoticon from here on out xD

Dark Link; and Abysseon; This quick unscheduled maintenance deleted any S rank nebs.

The more dumbly-rushed unsecured "events" nexon keeps vomiting into thin air, the more loopholes will exists for them.

Lol @ anyone who would actually give a hacker 3b collateral, when he can generate millions of those Nebulites and continue placing them on those White Bandanas. Really easy scam attempt.

You don't go to random people no matter how cheap their fee or collateral may be.

A hacker doesn't automatically mean they will scam you.

Likewise, a non-hacker doesn't automatically mean they will not scam you.

All s-ranks got deleted anyway + multiple people got banned. They didn't delete items with them though, just the nebs.

this, people did sell the service in scania, and nobody i knew that took it (they mostly lacked AB) was scammed.

just because someone hacks doesn't automatically makes them a scammer, some take pride in being "legit sellers", especially since it aids in getting them more sales, case in point: almost every duper out there ~_~

Killed Wrote:Actually it's the opposite. Any GM equips that are created could easily be tracked by Nexon and removed. They could easily just remove every single one from the game. It's the things like the inkwell coins that are NPCable for 200m each that are gonna blow the game up

I forgot those were in the data already... oh crap.

MissingLink Wrote:Tear the gameapart? A bit overreacting. So a few people have super godly stuff from hacking and can hit 999999 everytime. Um, we have that already. So what?

Edit: The coins sound dangerous though. What was the original purpose of those? I don't recall them, and it seems odd to have such a thing in the game. If Nexon was smart (lol) they would alter the selling price to 1 meso. I thing they've done things like that before fairly easily.

How about having the majority of the population acessing that king of damage without spending thousands on cubes, wards etc.

Except the problems don't occur in JMS either, and any time a hack does pop up it's quickly dealt with.

Reminds me of when someone got that from the Twin Dragon Egg, and then duplicated it using another TDE. Good times.
