It's extremely hard to tell how much money they could generally make from pre-orders, because we have no idea on a "final" release date.
For all we know, they could get to 2+ million before retail.

Apparently the plan is to keep the pre-order until Beta release, in which they will put the game in Early Access Steam plan

I wasn't too interested at first. I was like, "Oh, ok, some trophies/collectibles". Then I read some have special properties and can be revived.

Welp, time to tame a dinosaur and ride on its back. Beat the game, guys, nothing to see here anymore.

Holy crap. I never would've thought anyone would've actually spent such money on the game. Those "special contributor" credits are going to be long as hell.


I can't wait for this game to be released, though. I loved Terraria and this game looks like it'll be even better!

Yup.

Looks like they won't even need to come up with their own names for randomly generated NPCs at this point. Just toss in the player-made ones and that'll do just fine.

Huh? I highly recommend getting it, even if its only the Pixel Tier, you will get full content released on the game (There is no Pre-Order bonus for a selected few, or DLC in the future, just pure free Content updates), besides this preorder have 5$ shaved from the final release price (Which is planned to be 20$ apparently). Also any Stretch bonus from Preorder money will be retroactive and free for everyone who buys the game now or later.

I am very happy for their success! I really enjoyed what Terraria accomplished as a 2D sandbox game and I was surprised no one else tried to make a game similar to that.

Welp. I am absolutely definitely going to pre-order this right now.
I've been following the game since it's announcement, and I still didn't know most of the stuff detailed here, like the armour tiers and technology for each race. Oh god.

HYPE. TOO MUCH OF IT.

We need another race as the next stretch goal. ESKIMO PENGUINS. YES.
