Class of 2011 College Acceptances Thread - Zelkova - 2011-03-30 I just got accepted into the University of Arizona ^O^ Class of 2011 College Acceptances Thread - WillDaSnail - 2011-03-30 Zelkova Wrote:I just got accepted into the University of Arizona ^O^ Congrats! Guess you'll be seeing some SPer who goes there? ![]() Got my final acceptance today: Chapman University (Orange, CA) with a $15,000/year merit scholarship! :3 (This somewhat ends my ugly rejection streak. I thought this was going to end on a ugly note, lol) Class of 2011 College Acceptances Thread - Riyuran - 2011-03-30 So... after that strong start with receiving a likely letter from Dartmouth a few weeks ago, I figured I had a pretty good chance at getting into a couple of the schools I applied to. Apparently not. No worries, though, Dartmouth was my second choice and I got accepted!!!! I'm super excited ![]()
My Admission Decisions
Class of 2011 College Acceptances Thread - Kurtle - 2011-03-30 I'm just curious, how much debt are you guys/girls expecting to have after Undergrad? I'm getting close to making my decision, and at my choice school I'll leave with about $28,000 or lower in debt, and I'm curious what others are expecting. Albeit once I'm done with my education I'll be at least $200K+ in debt, but that's another manner. Class of 2011 College Acceptances Thread - Grey - 2011-03-30 Well, I'm done waiting, and here's what I got all together, in the order I recieved them:
Decisions!
Pretty sure I'm gonna go to McGill. Everyone I know at my high school is going to either Ohio State University or Ohio University. It's pretty disappointing, I wanted bigger and better things for us =[ It also kinda makes me wanna go to OSU, but unlike them, I'd start out with a 2.8 GPA, which is totally unappealing. Oh, and
In order of cost, including financial aid
I'm just glad all the waiting and uncertainty is over now, just in time for exams and stuff. I'm expecting a maximum of about $10,000 (and that's being very generous - I expect even less for my debt) after 4 years. :/ Class of 2011 College Acceptances Thread - WillDaSnail - 2011-03-31 Riyuran Wrote:So... after that strong start with receiving a likely letter from Dartmouth a few weeks ago, I figured I had a pretty good chance at getting into a couple of the schools I applied to. Although, if I get accepted this year into my second undergrad degree, I expect to finish at about 60k or so in debt. Class of 2011 College Acceptances Thread - Kurtle - 2011-04-03 Visited a good friend this weekend at Hillsdale College, and I realized what I wanted in a university. Came home and recieved a financial aid offer from Central Michigan which was not what we were expecting. After a nice talk with my parents it has been decided. I am officially attending the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in the Fall of 2011! I am officially attending the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in the Fall of 2011! GRATS!!! Enjoy your time at one of America's top 30 universities. =D OT: I plan to visit Chapman University next week to see the campus for myself and basically see if that school is right for me (its one of my top 3-4 choices atm). Plus its only about 30 minutes away from where I live! Class of 2011 College Acceptances Thread - Salguod - 2011-04-07 I was accepted into the Wisconsin-Madison and Ohio State U. I thought I'd go to OSU since they accepted me pretty quickly while nothing seemed to be happening with Wisconsin, but a few days ago, Wisconsin came out of nowhere and gave me a really nice financial aid package. Money is a big factor for me, so I'm leaning toward Wisconsin. However, while I think they're both good schools, I just don't feel that "I want to go" excitement for either so I feel a bit indecisive. I'm planning on majoring in animal science, possibly going further to veterinary school if I can, but both schools seem similar in that aspect, so I'm actually less concerned about academics than the overall college experience. |
