Because NexonAM, aside from one oddity, has gone in a specific order of release for the servers, and these we're talking about are the newest of the new ones.

Probably! I can't see them changing their patching schedule for this unless they know it's going to get extended a lot so they're starting it extra early.

They have to patch on the 6th and have the game up on the 7th if the 17-day ring event is to end on the 23rd.
Unless everyone is to miss one day of the event, of course.
But there's always the possibility that the big gm event day is Monday so they can get some sleep Tuesday before pulling an all-nighter (and then some) on patch night.
That's assuming these GMs actually play a part in the patching (testing the new version it after it's installed or w/e).
