Apparently, even after the countless hours spent by Saver with his tries and his figuring out what the issue might be and all the detailed information about it which he provided, that still didn't help the developers.

SERIOUSLY?

Do they want us to outright give them the fix or what?? It's already pityful that the users have found what's causing it in the game before the developers have, but you'd expect them to at least be able to FIND OUT what the issue is in the code (something which they probably haven't figured out yet) and find a fix for it.

So frustrating.... I wish I could just go into their offices, log in on a debug client connected to the production servers, crash it, and get cracking.
I've never seen their code but I've been programming in C and C++ for over 25 years, including troubleshooting other people's code (one of the yuckier tasks a programmer can face, btw).
I assume the "weights" have to do with the size of the data structures used to store the items, which obviously means they are somehow copying inventory data into "temporary" storage - and causing a data overrun in certain situations. Memory smears (data overrun) are nasty, but they can be found. Let me at the goddam code! Mad

Or at least get somebody with the error 38 problem log on from your comps and get you a full crash dump... eTracer is obviously not doing the job Frown

To be fair, it appears from this bug and others that have been around forever (graphics glitches, "compatibility" issues) that their programmers are working with stone-age tools.
Even though I myself have called them incompetent, I rather pity them. Even capable people would have a hard time in such conditions.
However, it's quite logical to assume Nexon pays peanuts and anyone with any ability at all leaves them fast.

I tried once again for the 345383457838th time and the last time the other night to get my CS working by dropping even more untradable items on my account and my character was stripped to only have a total of 25 items on my level 200 character and it still wouldn't work..so yeah...

I have my use maxed, I think I expanded my equips 2x with 8 slots and my etc once with 8 slots, but yeah, less then 25 items total between every tab excluding CS.

"We will extend the expiration date on your cash shop items by 6 weeks. But what's this? You don't seem to have any cash shop items. Oh, you say they all expired while you were waiting for us... well, too bad..."
Either that or they'll "extend" my permanent items and make them expire in a few weeks.

Cash Shop worked fine for me... until I bought a Miracle Cube. I didn't lose any NX after buying it, then when I leave the Cash Shop and reenter, I got error code 38. Re-logged in, checked MTS. 1,200 NX was subtracted. Entered Cash Shop, error code 38.

Sigh...

EDIT: Worked again after I NPC'd 4 items in the equip slot.
