About 75% of the monsters are holy weak, why are you complaining? I don't think so. As you can see on one of the web page of the KMS official website : http://maple.inven.co.kr/dataninfo/monster/list.php?minlevel=121 The proportion of the monsters with different properties scattered around Maple Story is almost the same. In Taiwanese Maple Story (TMS) in which I am playing now, there are fire/poison/ice/lightning elemental staffs. When you arm yourself with a fire elemental staff, your fire elemental magic damage will be multiplied by 125% and your poison elemental magic damage will be multiplied by 110% , the same with other elemental staffs. Speaking of the skills, the range of Angel's Ray is pitifully short and the speed is pitifully slow compared with Chain Lightning and Paralyze, and more importantly, Bishops don't have Magic Boost (raising attack speed by 2 levels) and Amplification (multiplying elemental magic damage by 150% only with the consumption of 160% MP) , geez, I have no idea how Bishops will struggle to survive in such a critical situation after Big Bang. Hopefully you guys can understand what I typed above coz' my mother tongue is not English but Taiwanese and Chinese. By level 200 Bishop in TMS My ID:法師killer [1.2.339] Lionheart Castle? - speck1231 - 2010-08-31 a comment from before mentioned that the same castle was in the big bang video at 0:34, thing is that castle is indeed mushroom kingdom. the same flag is being displayed at the new menu screen with all the explorers on it, just gotta look close enough. this might further prove that its a mush kingdom expansion. [1.2.339] Lionheart Castle? - aslemn - 2010-08-31 Well... They've used that castle in both Big Bang trailer and the actual login screen. Or they're just too lazy to design a new area, or this is just an expansion for Mushroom Castle. I'll stick with the first option tho. Your right! Got a picture of the whole castle^ [1.2.339] Lionheart Castle? - Dusk - 2010-08-31 zesdac Wrote:I don't think so. As you can see on one of the web page of the KMS official website : http://maple.inven.co.kr/dataninfo/monster/list.php?minlevel=121 Angel Ray has the same range as Paralyze, Booster only increases attack speed by 1 level, you have higher base attack on your skills to partially account for Amp, and you have a 55% base crit rate. Bishops are supposed to be weaker because they play a support role. HS, Heal, and Res are skills I'd love to have. Also, you're not that much weaker. [1.2.339] Lionheart Castle? - Avior - 2010-08-31 thats looks like that castle where Dances with balrog, Really old grendel, and that archer from henesys [lol forgot] sit on big bang trailer. Masteria is nowhere near Elnath, it takes one minute travel time to get there from kerning, it's obviously just off the coast near victoria/kerning. Then there is the small part about the entire continent of Masteria being risen from the sea by the mayor... JMS just pineappleed it up, and shouldn't even be in consideration for the continuity of the place. Just like Neo city isn't the *real* thing, neo tokyo is... No, the correct information is that Magic Boost really raises attack speed by 2 levels no matter the skill is at which level. Not only what I have mentioned before, lots of I/L and F/P Archmage's skills are attached with damage over time (DoT), additionally, it is effective to bosses and each every different Dot (including Dot of each every poison and ice elemental skills) can exist together to one monster. It is another big blow to Bishops. You said a Bishop is supposed to help others, but do you know that no one has obligation to help others without any feedback. It feels very bad like we Bishops are just slaves. [1.2.339] Lionheart Castle? - Erich - 2010-08-31 You need to remember two things about masteria: A.) More then one of the original minds behind masteria don't work for nexon anymore. B.)

Why is there always someone complaining about Bishops not being on par with a Damage dealing class in terms of DPS? If you dont like a supportive role of a Bishop and want more DPS, here's an idea, make an Archmage. Bishops will never die and will always be wanted in parties, and come with training speeds on par with the other magicians. Not to mention high survivability and still rather decent DPS for such an supportive class. It highly depends on your equipment these days anyways, a well-funded Bishop could easily out damage a Corsair, let alone an lolArchmage. And this only. Bishops were supposed to be a support class since planning; fudging the skills a little is why bishops are what they are now. I believe China MS also has nerfed CWK (I was wrong about KMS; KMS doesn't have it at all). I doubt Neo Tokyo will fit in with the rest of the versions though; the cities Odaiba, Akihabara, Shibuya and Roppongi is maybe known by japanophiles. I doubt BMS or EMS would know where they are. I suppose versions that implement their own content and ties it in with the main storyline are screwed. [1.2.339] Lionheart Castle? - Kalemora - 2010-09-01 Placing my bets on it being the castle in El Nath with those elemental resistances and weaknesses. Hope it turns out to be something fun. [1.2.339] Lionheart Castle? - larmie - 2010-09-01 IsaacGS Wrote:Because a localized version has never altered KMS's content to fit their own needs... I just noticed your post: Kerning Square is Taipei 101. It's called KS in every version but TMS to avoid political conflict (as if that's a legit. concern in a kids' video game :/) Evan and Dual Blade has been significantly altered and I'm concerned if Nexon Japan can keep up with further story dev on its own. [1.2.339] Lionheart Castle? - IsaacGS - 2010-09-01 *sigh* I was listing those as examples of how Content that was "mainstream" (IE first released in KMS) has been previously adapted to the version rather than just taken as they are. I *know* that KMS based Kerning Square off Taipei 101, but the plotline of Kerning Square's quests and of Taipei 101, the monster levels, how it's reached, even what monsters are there (Claw machines from Ximending randomly being added in there). It has nothing to do with "political conflicts" or anything. They (KMS) changed it around the same way they changed around Neo Tokyo into Neo City, the same way they took Singapore's shredded remains and sewed it back together into the Ghost Ship PQ. Yes they're based on version-exclusives, but trying to say Kerning Square is the same thing as Taipei 101 is like saying that JMS Crimsonwood is the same as GMS's. It's the same pieces, but it's put together in a different way. As for what I was ACTUALLY referring to there by mentioning Kerning Square, it was that the questline in JMS's Kerning Square is radically different from the one in KMS et al. Just look: http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=26945&highlight=Kerning+Square. I think that thread explains it enough for my point to be obvious now. [1.2.339] Lionheart Castle? - Erich - 2010-09-01 The reason for that might be JMS has all of formosa BUT taipei 101; taipei 101 can still be released. There can be overlapping mobs, as kerning square did prove, because kerning square ripped off a bit of night market's mobs to do this. The Fomorsa dogs are also tutorial monsters in the JMS evan. TL;DR: Mobs can have more then one incarnation. NPCs cannot. |
