I recommend not to trust Korean-English translator. It only messes up the translation. [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - Moonlapse - 2010-07-17 No changes to buccs, that could be a good or bad thing... [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - Takebacker - 2010-07-17 Good god what a spotlight this is. So many changes, so little time. Few things i noticed: 1) When you use an SP reset, the SP you have to spend per job is now listed rather than the really dumb old system where it would show how many total SP you have. Much much easier to distribute SP now. The rest is about battle mages 2) Chain grab is now worthless. Good for 2nd job, but in 3rd that rushing move they get is way better. No point using it after that really. :/ 3) Dark lightning is ridiculous. @_@ 20ks with DL, 108 base luck, and a clean level 35 staff. That's sayin somethin. 4) They forgot to change the requirement for finish blow (4th job) to 20 quad blow, so getting finish blow is impossible right now since it requires 30 quad blow. xD 5) I should note i noticed a reduction in my max HP since a few patches ago. I think it was almost 8k with max conversion, and it used to be 9k. Also, what the hell is that other new 3rd job skill? It's passive but i can't tell what it does. Same thing for that new 4th job skill. *scratches head* [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - Xephia - 2010-07-17 Moonlapse Wrote:No changes to buccs, that could be a good or bad thing... Being a Bucc myself and seeing the massive buffs we got, I'm currently glad they didn't use this as a chance to debuff us. EDIT: Oh what the heck. Forget it. Here you go. III - Battle Charge (the rush skill) - Teleport Mastery IV - Energize (increases max HP and both types of def) [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - IllegallySane - 2010-07-17 Moonlapse Wrote:No changes to buccs, that could be a good or bad thing... Seeing how our hax multiplier was untouched that's a very good thing. Not to mention how brutal we are now thanks to so many delay removal, skill improvements, and actually being a crit class. To go from lolaneers to dangerousaneers is a huge step and no changes is okay, but not getting nerfs is good. [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - Meeru - 2010-07-17 Atruya Wrote:So we can't put our 3rd Job SP into 2nd Job skills anymore? This is not it. What Takebacker meant was, something like this; You used the sp reset given on a 4th job character, getting hundreds of skillpoints back. Instead of seeing a total of (example) 350 points, you now are able to differentiate, 60 for 1st job, 120 2nd job, and so forth ... You wouldn't want to accidentally put 4th job points onto 3rd and so forth, in which some people worked their way around it by putting 4th job skills first. And another problem might happen when this is done is you don't realise you've spent all your 4th job skill points when you still wanted something else (meaning you prioritised incorrectly). It is now easier because everything is laid out crystal clearly. [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - Dusk - 2010-07-17 If it lists 0 SP for 2nd job, how would you put SP into 2nd job? I don't see why you'd want to put 3rd job SP into 2nd job skills though. Lol, my korean is really bad. =p sorry. [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - Meeru - 2010-07-17 Ah, I was under the impression that higher job sp's can still be placed on lower ranked jobs. I didn't quite catch it the first time... " When you use an SP reset, the SP you have to spend per job is now listed rather than the really dumb old system..." Maybe its justs a list but doesn't prohibit you in doing so. Although it is quite likely not many people placed 3rd job points into 2nd job, some has their own preference I guess. Archers used to stick leftover 2nd job SP into Focus to avoid getting Final Attack, but Final Attack is good now. (Some) Bandits used to stick leftover 2nd job SP into Nimble Body and even Keen Eyes because Steal was worthless, but that's not the case any more. [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - Hanabira.Kage - 2010-07-17 Dusk Wrote:Is Whirlwind bad for you? o_o Archers can already max out Focus in 1st Job now (planned out a skill build already :p). At the expense of Arrow Blow, which is pretty much replaced in 2nd Job.
Now that the levelling speed at lower levels is ridiculously high, there isn't really a need for mobbing attacks anyway. x.x [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - mamaloki - 2010-07-17 Turtally Wrote:Eh. [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - Bountyan - 2010-07-17 Anyone have a SS of the new SP distribution thingy that Takebacker mentioned? [1.2.328] Battlemages get their spotlight - Zacairga - 2010-07-17 Dusk Wrote:Is Whirlwind bad for you? o_o I don't see Steal gaining any real value, even with the mobbing potential. Unless you priotitize it over SB (Lolwut) you won't get it till late 2nd job anyways, and BoT easily replaces it. That being said, I have 29 steal and went and maxed dark sight. Steal isn't an auto activate skill, so I doubt so many people would go back and put points into a fully useless skill. Most Dits/CBs/Shads I see have Steal, just don't have it set to a hotkey and never use it. Bandit SP is a lot tighter post-BB. You can't even max Steal anymore without gimping your other second job skills, since they removed Endure (although I guess it'd still be nice to leave Steal at |
