Transition Q&A - Eos - 2010-07-10 And what browser are you using? Transition Q&A - Sn1perJohnE - 2010-07-10 Fire Fox, 3.6 Ok, now they open in an expanding layer above the actual page. Still kind of annoying, since the box randomly closes. Transition Q&A - Jon - 2010-07-10 Can you disable the slideshow-ness? >_> Transition Q&A - Eos - 2010-07-10 imjon Wrote:Can you disable the slideshow-ness? >_> Not entirely, no. I moved it to 30 seconds a slide, but you'd still have to manually navigate it or pause it to make it stop trying to move on it's own, and on single pics it shouldn't move or close. Really? It seemed a lot faster. Oh well. Transition Q&A - Eos - 2010-07-10 imjon Wrote:30 seconds? Really? It seemed a lot faster. Oh well. It would've been 10 before I posted that and depending on your configuration settings you may or may not update the .js any time soon without manually flushing it. This is one of the reasons I don't like client side handling, too many things can give an inconsistent experience. Transition Q&A - Sn1perJohnE - 2010-07-10 Eosian Wrote:Not entirely, no. It seems to be random. Either pics posted after a certain time or something, but some pics load into the whole page, or some open with a short slide show. Transition Q&A - Rob - 2010-07-10 If I have to be honest with you Eos, this slideshow thing works wonders for me. Opera 10.6 here. I'd like it even more if the thumbnails were a bit bigger. Transition Q&A - Hazzy - 2010-07-10 I like the slide show thing because the arrow keys let me control it, and it makes browsing multiple images in a post easy as pie. Removes the need to spoiler images, apart from a Spidey Dump, too. ![]() If I want to save the image, I just press my mouse wheel and it opens in a new tab, ready for me to save and use later. I think they're at 400 for now. Transition Q&A - butterfλi - 2010-07-10 The new image code is nice but there's a small side effect. When you use an image as a hyperlink to another image, clicking on the image will open the same rather than the linked one. Clicking on that will display img_B rather than img_A like it's suppose to. Transition Q&A - Eos - 2010-07-11 I would classify that side effect as "Working as Intended". Transition Q&A - Gengle - 2010-07-12 Just a quick question about the picture resizing. It appears that when a thread is image heavy (ex: level up thread) and an image is clicked before all of the images on the current page are finished loading, the server opens the picture as a brand new screen of just the image. Is this working as intended? Transition Q&A - Eos - 2010-07-12 Nope, it's a client error - Because the page hasn't loaded completely it's not ready to begin servicing requests so it only gets so far as to parse the anchor, not the anchor's override. Transition Q&A - holyforest - 2010-07-14 Will you be adding new subjects not to talk about in the Angry Dome? Transition Q&A - Eos - 2010-07-14 Such as? Transition Q&A - Rob - 2010-07-14 holyforest Wrote:Will you be adding new subjects not to talk about in the Angry Dome? Why would he? Transition Q&A - holyforest - 2010-07-14 Well, I've been noticing that whenever people start talking about U.S. politics, it usually never turns out well. People start accusing one party of X and then someone accuses the other party of being Y. After that, people start flaming each other, and many times take offense to what the other person said about the topic or party the thread was created about. It's gotten pretty exhausting just looking at some of these threads.Trying to calmly get facts or opinions across without someone harshly criticizing you makes it all the more frustrating. |
