[Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - Sivrat - 2009-07-29 Clashex Wrote:Honestly, if it's a 50 magic reduction then that still gives me more magic than a decently scrolled shine wand and I still have enough magic to 100% 1 hit with, I thought they'd do a little better than that. when he said "50 matk reduction" he was talking about the fact that you can get a really well scrolled shine wand/staff for same price as mediocre/bad scrolled ewand. So the difference ends up being about 50 matk total between those 2. If you continue using a ewand, its 25% reduction. [Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - mugsly - 2009-07-29 games open [Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - RideBMX - 2009-07-29 I now feel glad I didn't spend the 800mil I saved up on an Elemental Wand (and am using my 129 clean Dragon Staff). My Arch Mage friend will also be happy I told him to wait to get one. And my Guild (those who listened) will be happy they didn't sell their stuff yet. "omgomgomglul" was my initial response to the Elemental Weapon changes (cause that's the only thing I care about with this patch (and maybe new quests to do)). [Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - Firehuntah - 2009-07-29 I'm in. Still banned on my main... too bad. Hopefully they'll read my and the other people who got banned their tickets soon. Guess I'll play around a bit on a Cygnus Knight on my mule account. [Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - Amis - 2009-07-29 mugsly Wrote:games openGame is open!! ??? No, it's a 50 matt reduction from a decent e wand to a great shine wand. Continuing using hte ewand will cost bishops 25% of their damage [Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - WingZero - 2009-07-29 AHHHH! The game is open! I must be the first to sell my diamonds!
[Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - Rick - 2009-07-29 I'm going to bed. I look forward to waking up to a long line of humorous glitches. [Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - Eos - 2009-07-29 Kalovale Wrote:Either no one noticed my question, or I asked it in another one of these thousand similar threads. Is the penalty exclusive for Bishops? Or is it directed at non-corresponding elemental skills? The weapons were already polarized to adversely impact the opposing elements. It was only Bishops that were completely immune to them. You can see the test results of that here. We included that information in the awareness campaign to Nexon on the suspicion that they were only testing with other AM skills and not seeing the gap when they were insisting it was working as intended.

BombsAway Wrote:Where is eos? It's okay to gloat... you've earned it... I don't have anything to gloat about. This topic has been covered so often there's really nothing more to say on it. All I needed was an answer from Nexon, and I got it. I think only 1/3rd of the people who volunteered to help actually did their part and it still made a remarkable impact. Imagine if the community actually took things seriously and gave real effort to an issue? [Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - Turtally - 2009-07-29 eos367 Wrote:This makes the primary question to Nexon whether they "forgot" holy was an elemental attribute, or whether they did this on purpose to make the weapons non-punitive to bishops. Huh? I think they made it quite clear that they intended to penalize Bishops using Elemental Staffs and Wands. "Bishops have been rebalanced to receive a penalty for using an Elemental Wand or Staff without the Holy element to use Holy skills." [Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - Zpyke - 2009-07-29 Turtally Wrote:Huh? I think they made it quite clear that they intended to penalize Bishops using Elemental Staffs and Wands. She was talking about before hand. That's why she was looking for an answer to whether or not ele wands were in fact supposed to nerf holy attacks or not. Of course, now we have our answer. Edit: On that matter, I like how everyone is now getting big heads and saying that it was always known that the ele wands would nerf holy attacks, when the whole big deal eos had, and many other people (A lot, if not all, of which are also now saying it was always known.) agreed that it wasn't clear and needed to be answered in full statement. I too laughed that ele wands were nerfed because then I could stop listening to bishops think they were better than everyone else. But seriously people, get off of other people's backs. You weren't 100% either, and you knew it. All one could do was be careful, which is why I got my wisdom staff and kebob instead of an ele wand. Feel free to laugh at those who thought it wasn't ever going to happen and now are being whiners and yelling at people and acting like jerks/noobs, but those that thought it was a safe investment finally and thought to throw some of their mesos away at it on a gamble should be left out of it. Though I don't know if that has to be said, because the ones getting flak are the ones starting fights, and the others are the smart bishops who just generally know it's about 50-60 more m.atk and it can be made up again, and that it was their own risk that they took and understand the consequences of said actions. That was too long. Meh, at least I (Hopefully.) didn't leave any holes for misinterpretation. [Cygnus Summer Knights] Ver.073 - Jordan - 2009-07-30 Lozmaster Wrote:facepalm time! No need to flame, it was a misunderstanding on my part. A little ironic how you insult someone's honest mistake while spelling a word consisting of 3 letters wrong. A little ironic how you insult someone's honest mistake while spelling a word consisting of 3 letters wrong. Clashex, buddy, you've come to Southperry! Your definition of irony is wrong. Also, his mistake is a hell of a lot easier to make than yours, just a simple keystroke error.
