Ask a Pirate Thread - Punch - 2009-07-04 Hows my damage? ![]() And what can I get with 70m? Also saving 20m for a Mount, and an amount for pots and survival. Ask a Pirate Thread - Dyxanije - 2009-07-04 Punch Wrote:Hows my damage? What exactly are the stats on your equips? Ask a Pirate Thread - MrCaffeLatte - 2009-07-08 I've got a skill build related question. While chatting to some hime-ing priest friends, I was wondering, should I start himing at the early hundreds? I thought up a skill build for myself so that I'd have max flame and 26 ice by 103, and was wondering what you chaps thought of it. It starts off as you'd expect...
Spoiler
Then this is where it starts to get funky... 93: +2 Flamethrower (02) +1 Ice Splitter (26) 94: +3 Flamethrower (05) 95: +3 Flamethrower (08) 96: +3 Flamethrower (11) 97: +3 Flamethrower (14) 98: +3 Flamethrower (17) 99: +3 Flamethrower (20) 100: +3 Flamethrower (23) 101: +3 Flamethrower (26) 102: +3 Flamethrower (29) 103: +1 Flamethrower (30) [MAX] +2 Gaviota (03) 104: +3 Gaviota (04) 105: +3 Gaviota (07) 106: +3 Gaviota (10) 107: +3 Gaviota (13) 108: +2 Gaviota (15) +1 Octopus (22) 109: +3 Octopus (25) 110: +3 Octopus (28) 111: +2 Octopus (30) [MAX] +1 Homing Beacon (12) 111: +3 Homing Beacon (04) 112: +3 Homing Beacon (07) 113: +3 Homing Beacon (10) 114: +3 Homing Beacon (13) 115: +3 Homing Beacon (16) 116: +3 Homing Beacon (19) 117: +3 Homing Beacon (22) 118: +3 Homing Beacon (25) 119: +3 Homing Beacon (28) 120: +3 Homing Beacon (30) [MAX] My reasoning for this is that once I get to 10x, himing should be great exp (or am I mistaken?). 21 octo will be enough at newties for me, and if it's not I've been lended a bishop with which I can leech to 100 (but that's no fun...) Once I get to 103 with 26ice and 30flame, himes should be easy prey and easy exp. Once I get to 111 I'll be back at newts. Ask a Pirate Thread - Shinryuji - 2009-07-08 Bleh dunno where to train, been going around Golemn Mini Dungeon, C2, and MP3 Wind Raiders arent option for me sadly :[ Lv74, damage range is like 968 ~1730 unpotted equips 74 ATK 6 STR Beia Crash 3 ATK 8 DEX PAC 10 ATK Gloves 5 STR 5 DEX Deputy Star 11 STR Tree Branch Noise 15 STR 13 DEX Zakum Helmet 11 DEX Earrings 1 STR 3 DEX Lv 60 Shoes 5 STR 11 DEX Lv 60 Overall lol down to 2.4mil >> dunno if i'm forgetting anything Ask a Pirate Thread - Eriko - 2009-07-12 MrCaffeLatte Wrote:I've got a skill build related question. I heard from some other Corsairs that they sell BF leech regularly. Is there a better way to do this than to constantly play cat-and-mouse with it across a Twisted map? I've noticed that it's possible to keep him in the corner for a while with Cannon only. But how do I get him there? Ask a Pirate Thread - IllegallySane - 2009-07-18 I gave Oblivion 4 a shot, and I love it. I tried to play it safe while still killing at a reasonable pace. Here was my statistics when adding in Barrage after just about every Backstep Blow: ~152 Honsters an hour ~6m EXP an hour I feel like I may be doing something wrong though because MasPan clearly stated getting 7.5m an hour. My EXP rate is definitely better than Skeles MD soloing however. Maybe I'm not killing fast enough with a range of ~2,200-4,000 (~2,400-4,400 with Warrior Pot, ~2,600-4,800 with Energy Charge)? My way of circling the map once I enter the map from the portal: 1. Clear the bottom from left to right 2. Boomerang back to the bottom teleporter 3. Clear mobs on the 2nd platform to the right 4. Climb up to the top right platform of the map 5. Clear mobs to the invisible teleporter to the left 6. Clearing remaining mobs on the top left platform after teleporting from the right top platform to the left top platform 7. Hop down to the 2nd platform, clear everything to the right 8. Hop down on the lone 3rd platform and clear mobs from left to right 9. Hop down from the very right so I can clear all mobs at the bottom from right to left 10. Repeat steps 2-10 Ask a Pirate Thread - Manu - 2009-07-18 Now I see the last post. I wonder if I'm doing wrong at skeles o,o (it might be my low lvl DS too) but what I do is 1. Kill top 2. Kill mid 3. Kill mid-bot 4. Kill bot XD then go up doing the same, some times skipping mid-bot on the going up since it has less spawn Ask a Pirate Thread - Walter - 2009-07-23 Should i replace my jump key with wings? Ask a Pirate Thread - Holypie - 2009-07-23 No. High MP costs, slow descent (yes it's a bad thing sometimes) , and nothing to use in a JQ or similar map. Ask a Pirate Thread - fiftyschmooo - 2009-07-25 Walter Wrote:Should i replace my jump key with wings? No, ive found that wings is utterly useless in training(sept when im not killing and just using wings to move from a rope to a rope, u mayyy find uses for it on different maps(i was using it on the MP3 map for like 1 instance as i cycled it) but i would keep you jump as jump Ask a Pirate Thread - MasPan - 2009-07-25 IllegallySane Wrote:I gave Oblivion 4 a shot, and I love it. I benefit highly from having strong, fast spawning monsters. I definitely use more potions (400 or so ginsengs an hour or more). I am also higher level (by about 10). I'll make a rush/mob training diagram later to show what I do, but it's mostly 1. Clear top right 2. Warp to top left, clear, jump down 3. Rush and fury my way ---->, finish off mob, jump down to left-most edge of bottom-mid platform, kill all. Jump down to right most corner of bottom, rush <------- and kill, use bottom warp to go to top. 4. Rush ---> and kill from center of top, start from 1. I tried training there again last night/this morning, and my results were 12% an hour on 2x with 162m to level. I'll work out the math on that. -Edit- Wow, that's 19.44m exp an hour, or almost 10m exp an hour solo on 1x. *Spaz* Compare to 5-6m an hour at skeles solo...[/COLOR] Ask a Pirate Thread - Muthaphukka - 2009-07-27 Is a reverse equinox worth it for a low dex buccaneer or should I buy a godly king cent? Instead of having to invest in another 20 dex, plus all the scrolls and time pieces required for the reverse equinox. Ask a Pirate Thread - Takebacker - 2009-07-27 Muthaphukka Wrote:Is a reverse equinox worth it for a low dex buccaneer or should I buy a godly king cent? Instead of having to invest in another 20 dex, plus all the scrolls and time pieces required for the reverse equinox. A reverse equinox is more worth it than any other knuckle for every single bucc who has enough dex to wear it. Which is pretty much every single bucc anywhere. More blunt answer: An equinox kicks the s'hit out of every single other knuckle ever made. Ask a Pirate Thread - Muthaphukka - 2009-07-27 Takebacker Wrote:A reverse equinox is more worth it than any other knuckle for every single bucc who has enough dex to wear it. Which is pretty much every single bucc anywhere. Im not convinced I need 20 more dex on my equips, and if I fail at scrolling one, I've just lost out on either a ton of mesos, or a shitload of time. King cents are readily available, clean or scrolled. There's a little arrow next to your dex stat in the AP window. :3 Ask a Pirate Thread - IllegallySane - 2009-07-27 MasPan Wrote:[color="#cc8899"]Remember, I'm an entirely mob-oriented job. Curse your insane EXP gain. Although I don't feel sorry for your pot consumption. I have about 45% the HP you have. I would hate to imagine you burning 600-700 pots an hour if you didn't have Hyperbody. I need a Reverse Knuckle.... the extra 10-15+ attack may help a ton. With Item Maker coming out, there's no point in buying a godly weapon. I hope to land a Stimulator as well as a 2 attack diamond on the Reverse Equinox, and 60% all the slots. Not only will no pirates scroll and sell pirate stuff, they'll be expensive as f'uck. |
