It's interesting because with this pokemon they are playing up the "praying" side of the praying mantis, whereas Scyther was the slice slice kill kill side of it.

Wrong. I blew so much moisture into my systems that the top screens would eventually sport ugly red bands until the system could no longer turn on. I had to rely on the sound to identify a shiny encounter.
Sucks that sending the 3DS for repair meant wasting 85 dollars plus S+H. I can't even get the site to change the option from fixing a camera to shoulder button replacement.

Holy crap, Mega Venusaur has thick fat. That removes it's weakness to Fire and Ice. what.
Mega Charizard has Drought. Is still Fire/Flying.
Mega Blastoise is still water. has the new ability Mega Launcher, which increases the power of moves like Water Pulse and Dark Pulse.

it gets the pink thing on its head and the tree grows but it doesn't look like a giant pineappleing cannon
hmm not sure between starters now. I was going to settle for Froakie + Charmander but Fennekin + Squirtle is a choice too...
EDIT: jesus christ the torchic download too, you could get Chespin + Torchic + Squirtle for type coverage

Mega Blastoise looks pretty good but it's ability is quite boring. as noticed in the trailer, Blastoise now has 3 cannons, including the MASSIVE ONE on it's back, but it still attacks by shooting beams out of it's mouth. right.
Once again the Fire starter is the best of the bunch. they definitely have a hard-on for fire type starters.

Do you guys think the special 3DS XL are worth it? My regular (ambassador) 3DS has no problems and works fine. The only difference would be screen size (and i guess the fancy exterior) I would have barely enought to get it, but i dont know if its a good idea. Also, i never made a club nintendo account (affter they switched from the old version years ago), so im not sure if I can transfer everything...

Pokebank won't be available until just after Christmas. We have 2 months to play the game before transfer becomes available. I'm actually happy about this, as I won't be tempted to transfer any of my old pokemon over: I can enjoy the new region the like a new player.

Looks more like an Alpaca to me. Since Alpacas are basically fluffy Llamas, and it looks pretty fluffy.

Its good they did that. Won't be like the dream radar thing where you can basically have multiple teams of legendaries at the start.

Man they missed a trick with the typing of Charizard and Blastoise, especially since they made Charizard look even more Dragon like I'll never understand. Oh and the Venusaur design is meh but giving it thick fat is pretty awesome.
So we are not only getting the blue XL but a red version too, thats cool but I cant believe it doesnt come with the game.
Pokemon Bank, again meh. Personally I would have just preferred local storage on the SD card or something. I know that could lead to people changing the pokemon and stuff but I'm sure they will find a way to do that anyway.
